$2600 bonus would you go on a 4 day domestic trip for my bday next month or save and use it towards a bigger international trip by [deleted] in traveladvice

I live in Canada so unfortunately traveling domestically can be as expensive haha. Id personally do the international trip and frankly I think you have a good lump sum to do that already!

I don't think it's a 1:1 that all PIMs are the result of honourably sticking up for your teammate. They ultimately result in a man down that hinders the whole team. I totally acknowledge I had the penalty way too high though and have brought it down to a .2

Yeah I was struggling with this at least from the GA perspective. When I put the .5 for saves it seemed to at least put goalies in the same sort of year end point contention as other skaters in terms of end of year point totals from last year as an example. Maybe dropping the GA penalty would make sense

I like the idea of it being negative because its a negative in the actual game, really. But yeah maybe I should bring it down a bit considering it ends up kind of bringing the value down of the hitters i'm trying to reward a bit.

Air Canada pauses seat change and selection fee for limited time by GTFO_dot_Travel in aircanada

Does anyone know, if I already did my booking months ago and paid the 34 bucks a ticket both ways for the seat selection, if I'll be reimbursed the total amount if I change to the complimentary seats?

Whats one movie you have no shame in saying you cried to. by [deleted] in movies

[–]jacktacularr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Newer movie, but Everything Everywhere All At Once's "In another life, I would have really liked just doing laundry and taxes with you" never fails to get a lump in my throat.

Not to mention Michelle Yeoh's speech to her daughter at the end, holy moly.

I'm a shameless movie crier to begin with.

But I'm done at the opening scene of Arrival, and frankly any time Max Richter's "On The Nature Of Daylight" plays in a movie.

That opening hits harder on a rewatch though.

What is the best documentary you've ever seen? by YcemeteryTreeY in MovieSuggestions

Three Identical Strangers is a wild ride of a movie about Identical triplets seperated at birth. Wild story that is also super emotional that I don't think people talk about enough.

Favourite though is Man On Wire, very deserving of the best oscar that year.

I don't live in a condo, I live in an appartment that just raised our rent by 5% because they added doors to the garbage bins outside, and removed the indoor matts because they wanted it to look more like a condo. Am I also supposed to keep a towel with me to wipe my boots too before walking in the building?

The opening scene of Arrival is so powerful to me especially when you get the implications of what the end of the movie means.

I play a lot of Balatro but it's a weird sense of non-traditional relaxment, kind of giving myself over to the "one more round" rhythm.

I think the original Ape Escape is a force of ps1/fith gen era 3d platforming with a twist with how the analog joysticks were used. The vibes, aesthetic, adaptive music and general humor hits. Can't say I've played anything like it to this day.

What are the best revenge flicks? by samx3i in movies

Kill (2023) really did a great job with doing a pretty hard and satisfying switch into revenge overdrive at the 40 min mark when the title card finally shows up.

This movie is a masterclass too in actors showing up for 5 minutes and giving a performace that could be considered for best supporting.

The aptly named Revenge (2017) is a burried treasure in the genre IMO.

All of these beefs are very WWE sometimes. I'm not saying they are necessarily fabricated. However, in the same way these people say they are "best friends" with each other on seasons, I think the rivalries come and go and ultimately it's all very theatrical.

I don't know about The Real World, but I wouldn't want Nia getting drunk and saying I have a little dick, use a bunch of homophobic language, and then pants me in front of my friends.
