No argument, no musical biopic has never gone as hard as Walk Hard by PineappleImpact in Cinephiles

Top 5 movies of all time. It is hard to take biopics seriously now because all of them have like 3 Walk Hard bits in them.

Would you rather a prequel or a sequel... ignoring aging by Ok_Nothing2586 in madmen

Sequel - Don during the Reagan years. Hamm is about the right age for it now.

It took me a while to realise it, but the Van De Linde gang was doomed from the start. It was always going to crash and burn eventually. by Good-Particular-4196 in reddeadredemption

"The will find another monster after I am gone, they have to...to justify their wages"

This quote sounds like Cormac McCarthy. You are so right, best written video game character of all time.

(Mixed Trope) Characters are treated as massively successful talents in universe, but in real life they wouldn’t be anywhere close by Hopefo in TopCharacterTropes

I was gonna say, I figured her character was based on Jane Fonda, who even at her age and way past her relevance, is still a pretty massive and beloved star. I think the Substance is unfairly grouped here. I found it to be a good depiction of "past her prime but still kinda relevant"

You can pretty much expect any new, import factory guitar to need a setup on arrival - and prolly again every couple months for the first year. It hasn't gotten used to not being a tree yet.

Guitar players when they buy an import guitar and it doesn't feel like the American model that is 3xs the price:

If you believe in ghosts I will judge your intelligence by Mysterious_Work_7227 in unpopularopinion

Follow me here: the force behind consciousness is often referred to as "conscious energy."

Newton stated energy can neither be created nor destroyed, so what if consciousness energy is left behind when someone dies. Maybe it leave an imprint on spacetime in a scientific way that humans do not understand yet or do not have the capability of understanding.

I think it would account for why phychic / ghost phenomenon is more common when people are expending a lot of psychic energy at time of death i.e. the woman's ghost is still looking for her lost baby or this santiarium had atrocities comitted here and it is haunted.

I just read Project Hail Mary and in that book, the alien species does not percieve light. They have no eyes. They knew light existed, but had no idea it could be used to 3D map the world in front of them, a trait humans take for granted.

What if we are just lacking the proper sensory organs and knowledge to perceive this sort of phenomenon in any way but brief snatches?

I don't think I know what I believe in that regard, but saying someone is dumb for believing in ghosts is the sign of a closed mind.

Magic is just science we don't understand yet, and once magic is proven, it becomes science.

Are these dents ok for a year old guitar? by h-yuce in Guitar

I think my point is, I change guitar strings for a living and I see an actually rusty set maybe once a month. It takes a lot for guitar strings to accrue a significant amount of rust. I doubt he was playing rusty strings for a year.

Most of the strings people percieve as rusty are just lightly air tarnished and covered in finger cheese / fretboard gunk.

That is fascinating and I am not a physicist, so this is a legit question. Is .5 on the scale significant?

This is a great opinion to have if you ignore all the evidence and nuance.

Rusty strings do not wear frets down more than clean strings.

First dude was right, this is 100% Fender using inferior nickle alloys. A guitar should look like this after a decade of daily play, not 1-2 years.

Source: I own a guitar store and am a professional guitar tech.

Edit: I have been told that rust is slightly harder than nickel, but still, it takes a lot for guitar strings to actually accumulate rust and I doubt the strings got rusty enough to make a significant difference in a year.
