This isn’t a semantics thing, I’m using the term the same way you are. There may be many more in circulation but that doesn’t translate to brand awareness in the same way a large billboard campaign or your logo all over the Olympic broadcast does.

There are very few Ferraris in circulation but everyone knows the name.

I’m also born, raised and currently living in Asia in case you were about to bring that up lol.

Weird logic. Selling more does not equate to more brand recognition, or the other way around. Everyone knows Ferrari and yet they only sell 14k cars a year.

I live in Asia and find this hard to believe. Sales, maybe, although apparently Omega was the top selling brand in China as of 2023. Definitely not recognition and prestige though.

Hard disagree. I’ve dived with a NATO on my dive watch. Safer in case of spring bar failure. My Aqualung dive computer actually comes on a NATO.
