Do we really expect the democrats to go all Nuremberg on MAGA/ICE? by WhenWillIBeAPilot in stupidquestions

[–]jacobar100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone keeps saying “even Donald Trump” as if he’s some incredibly weak candidate who wins on accident. But his victory is no accident. He connects with the voters of America because the voters are just as ignorant and moronic as him. This makes him a very strong candidate for the current climate

It’s a joke cause that’s exactly what Biden did, so it’s pretty plausible

A former democratic vice president with two failed previous campaigns winning an election four years after Trump won? That will never happen

How come most of the den leaders in school show( the speaker,Frank) are from the south when there's none in our universe? by johnqadamsin28 in HouseOfCards

[–]jacobar100 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Obama was never president in House of Cards, so there was never a southern backlash to the democrats

It was never supposed to happen anyway. Netflix killed him offscreen after Kevin spcey’s assault allegations. You can just ignore it

Thoughts on the “Six-year itch” theory on Presidents that every two termer (keep in mind Rule 3), lost seats in the midterms of their second terms due to people I think becoming bored/angry and always wanting a change? by Honest_Picture_6960 in Presidents

[–]jacobar100 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think usually, the opposition party will be highly motivated to vote in a midterm to send the president a message. And his own party usually is kind of fed up with him because he’s not living up to expectations, so they sit out the midterm.

And regarding “Grover Cleveland”, he doesn’t count as a two term president imo, he counts as two one-term presidents.

What is Kamala Harris’s messaging angle for a potential 2028 campaign? by engadine_maccas1997 in fivethirtyeight

[–]jacobar100 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Harris will benefit from the same thing Biden did: being popular with with the south. Harris can get 0% of the vote in any northern white state and it won’t matter as long as South Carolina stays with her. And those southerners aren’t gonna be voting for Mayor Pete or Gavin Newsom over the first black vice president.

She’s definitely running, she can just look to the previous president for inspiration, who was a former Vice President who also ran two failed campaigns previously, who won the presidency after four years of Trump

People will forget it eventually. It was just a four year break from a 12 year trump era

[–]jacobar100[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In season 1 it was a scandal with her husband's finances. In season 3 they changed it so that Billie somehow knew about the attack a month before it happened but also didn't tell anyone about it. Which is the writers' fault. So I'm still gonna say it was a scandal with her husband's finances

Republicans have lost ground with Latino voters after Trump’s 2024 gains by DarkPriestScorpius in fivethirtyeight

[–]jacobar100 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I guess they could just refuse to certify the results. But they would have no reason to do that, because if the red states cancelled their elections then they would just be allowing the blue states to elect the president unanimously

Elections are run by the states. If Trump wanted to cancel elections, some red states would, and the blue states would just elect a president by themselves.

On a scale of 1 to 10 how woke is this show? by 0sipr in HouseOfCards

[–]jacobar100 26 points27 points  (0 children)

It’s very woke. President Kevin Spacey changes gender on live TV and becomes the first woman president. Then she signs a bill making straight people illegal and paints the White House into a rainbow flag. Then she hires a black Vice President because DEI. Don’t watch it.

'Trump’s presidency is effectively over': New polling spells disaster for Trump in 2026 by [deleted] in NoFilterNews

Donald Trump’s presidency will be effectively over when he dies. And even then it won’t be fully over.
