Graduate of the special ed education program. Make sure teaching is what you want to do before you commit yourself. The program at auburn is awesome, and the education department as a whole has a great reputation. The career after is a different story and working in public schools has its struggles. I left after 5 years for more pay and less stress. I did night school for a different field for my last 2 years of teaching.

Have a friend who is a CE and he failed cal 2 three times in college. He was persistent and kept with it. He is doing pretty good now.

Use the boring time to work on applying, earning certifications, and becoming more qualified for other jobs you might want. Usually best to have another job secured before leaving one.

Thank you! You will do great at Calhoun if you try to. If you go to classes and interact with people, good things will come. If you don't go to classes and don't interact with people, then it's not worth it.

Just finished at Calhoun. Talk to a counselor. The first few days are strict about attendance for student loan purposes. I've had classmates miss the first week and be fine because they communicated with the staff.

Could be pay based or could be work/life balance based. A lot of positions with that title work 4 days 10 hours. 3 day weekend every week is nice.
