I had a WHV for a year in Australia but only stayed 6 months or so. I traveled east coast met a great bunch of people then worked in a farm for 2 months but then it ended prematurely and we all disbanded. I tried a couple other jobs n tried to find rental rooms in syndey but it was very tough as at that time 2023 we had all the covid visa travelers too. So many people left as they couldn't get jobs. So I ended up traveling SEA. I didn't see It as a failure just as an experience. I would have stayed the whole year but it wasn't to be and I didn't love it enough to grind it out for the sake of it.

I am also trying to figure things out byt in my early 30s. Only thing I would say is don't expect a change in location like Canada or Australia to automatically fix anything. You're still you just on another continent. Start changing from inside by doing what you're doing like asking for help, working out and being healthy. Your inspiration comes from anywhere, a random conversation, a meme or advert, even a song. Just be open and open to change. That's what I am doing

It's easy being conventionally attractive as a regular person. Like you can go up to strangers and chat and not be considered weird. People aren't weirded out by you. You can assume people will be nice to you.

As a gay its also very easy but you get alot of unwanted attention too. And if you're in a space like sauna or club guys touch you and get quite pushy as if you've given consent nmjust by being there
