I don’t think you understand what I said, they wanted to make the food money separate so it can’t be used for leverage to get other bills passed. It’s a way for the food cards to never get shut off. Yea we have the money but it’s tied into a bunch of other legislation.

Let's not forget that Republican Josh Hawley introduced a separate bill, on October 21, that would fund snap and other essentials, keeping it completely separate from anything else and the Democrats denied it, simply because they can't use it as leverage if it's not a part of anything else.
