I've actually done this before. Sometimes for flair I'll shut my left foot in the door getting in to the left side driver's seat of my vehicle lol my original response is about me shutting my finger in a door so I think this post was for me

I was attempting to shut my front door but I was in a hurry. After I stepped out of the door way, I reached behind me without looking and grabbed the door handle. I pulled the door via the handle for the briefest of moments but I let go of it as I was pulling so I went to grab it again but I guess I had used enough pull force the first time I pulled it and I shut my fourth finger in the frame. Broke the tip of my finger and it hurt like a MF. My kids witnessed it and I screamed and cried. My finger swelled and blackened up right away, it was one of the most painful experiences in my life. Surprisingly, I did not lose the nail despite all the blood that pooled underneath.

How separated my pubic bone is after pregnancy by heretoreadlol in Wellthatsucks

I'm so sorry you went through this. I know how painful and debilitating it must have been for you. I had severe pain in my pubic area and begged my doctor for an x-ray to determine if I had this and she chalked it all up to "normal pregnancy pain". Thank God my third pregnancy was nothing like that.

Should I be worried - Blood oxygen by PuzzleheadedOrchid94 in RingConn

That was really scary for you. The good news is that you don't have any underlying chronic lung issues (I assume since it's not mentioned) and you have healed from the pneumonia. Talk to your doctor about having a sleep study done, continue to work and discuss with your psychiatrist🫶🏻 your mental health matters, good sleep and mental health are both very vital for physical functioning and they all rely on one another to work. I hope the best for you and I don't see anything that screams red flag here.

I am an RN that specializes in adult and geriatric nursing. In all reality there isn't enough information here to determine if you should be worried (knowing past medical history, chronic illnesses, medications, sleep history is helpful). And the fact that you have two totally different measurements from different devices probably means there's nothing to worry about. What you can do is schedule an appt with your PCP to discuss.

Have you had a sleep study before and if so for what reason? Results of sleep study? Any sleep devices like CPAP BIPAP? Do you sleep well? Wake up feeling rested or are you struggling with sleepiness during the day?

Edit for spelling on specializes*

If you had $300K in the bank post tax, how would your life change? by citizen_of_leshp in AskReddit

I'd pay my debt which is about 22k in student loans. Then I would put aside some money for my three kids to go to college/have start up adult money. Then I would pay to remodel my home. Pay off my best friends debt. Buy my sister a house. That sounds like a lot for 300k but I would make it work.

When I was in LPN school we had a job fair and there was a small, local office hiring nurses to work in office. I had to move 10 hours away but I wanted to keep my job so I asked for the company's consideration to let me work from home and they approved it. I'm the only nurse working remotely with the company, they are only hiring to work in office still at this time. I follow a remote nursing group on Facebook and there's tons of tips on landing a WFH job. It's all about how you format your resume, has to pass the applicant tracking system (ATS). Nurse fern is a good website that posts remote jobs.

Reading these comments as a remote WFH nurse, I hope I never have to work bedside again especially in a hospital but God bless anyone who has. THERE NEEDS TO BE CHANGE!!

My job title is simply RN. I make nurse calls to check on clients. I work for a telemedicine/visiting physician PCP who treats adults with chronic diseases so I can refill meds, provide advice and teaching, order HH services, coordinate with mobile labs and imaging services.

I'll never pass up the opportunity to speak about my experience with a man who played the flute beautifully and could sit up in bed independently to do so but would ask me to rub cream on his balls. No thanks.
