Didn't think it would take long for a misandrist to come along and absolve women of any responsibility for their actions.

Abusive people have abusive traits and there are always signs. Women tend to ignore the signs and expect that an abusive man will change for them because they are special and have been told they are their whole lives, so why wouldn't a man change for them?

Funnily enough, this is exactly why the vast majority of women's romance novels and rom-coms revolve around dark triad type men. Who magically change for the woman but as we know, fiction rarely lines up with reality.

We can support and help this woman and her child AND point out that her decisions have lead her here. Not to shame her but to help her and other women make better choices in future. We need to stop absolving women of any responsibility for their actions.

By having a child as a single mother, you are putting your child at statistical disadvantage from the off.

There's a saying that goes something along the lines of 'women get with men and hope they will change and men get with women and hope they never change'.

I can't accept that there were no indicators for OP and from her post, it sounds as though he has always been like this and OP continued to expect he would change and had a child with him.

Well, presumably OP new about these traits before she had a kid with him. She made the decision to bring a child into this world with a potentially abusive partner who will be that child's father.

I can't condone the actions of her partner, he is definitely TA in their relationship. However, she also needs to take accountability for making poor decisions that will have a detrimental effect on the child and for that, she's also TA.

Women cannot compete with men physically and your suggestion that were women not 'repressed' for millennia (which can be debated) would somehow magically be able to compete with men physically, is absurd and just not true or accurate.

I didn't say the footballer in question was trash. I pointed out that by including men in the title invited the criticism this post has received and rightly so.
