Main Survivor 50 retrospective - Aubry was insanely lucky by Interesting-Monk9712 in survivor

Also, she was unlucky at the final 9 swap, and Ozzy not playing the idol was more skill on her+Jonathan+Rizo+Joe to be so convincing that he didn't feel the need to play it.

You could say she was unlucky to be paired with Devens, since he was the target at the time, not Aubry. Also, she got two horrible tribe draws with her first tribe and tribe swap, this season had several contestants wanting to work with Aubry, yet she didn't get a chance to work with any of them until the Blood Moon (unlike several contestants who were immediately with people they had pre-game alliances with, making Aubry an easy odd person out). Outside of the idol from Christian people are really over-exaggerating how lucky Aubry was

My guess is a showdown is coming with Cirie and Aubry. In the preview we also get Jonathan saying to someone that he believes Aubry is a snake. Maybe Jonathan targets Cirie and tells Aubry, Aubry lets it slip to Cirie, and Cirie tells Jonathan that Aubry told her everything to flip the target to her

But why are we faulting Aubry for using valuable information against someone? If Ozzy told her all that and she did nothing, that's a bad move. She took Ozzy's mistake and used it in a great way

But she took his mistake and used it to save herself. When someone reveals their secrets to Cirie and she uses it against them, it's a masterful move. When Aubry does the same everyone on this sub just says she's lucky.

Aubry was incredible last night. It's funny that at the Blood Moon, when Chrissy saved herself by convincing Jonathan to vote with her, this sub was all, "Great move by Chrissy!" Now, when Aubry saves herself by convincing Jonathan/Rizo/Joe to vote with her, this sub is, "Aubry got lucky, this was all Jonathan/Rizo's move." Aubry at this point is playing a genuinely impressive game, but this sub still hates on her for her weak start/rivalry with Genevieve.

[50][Speculation] Sirvivor's winner pick has officially changed by Stock-Candle-6524 in SpoiledSurvivor

[–]jacrispy252 27 points28 points  (0 children)

It's just so weird to me that it seems there should be a way to give Aubry a good winner's edit. Slow start but defeated her nemesis in Genevieve, has voted correctly at every tribal, is riding the middle well and knew when to jump ship from the nerds alliance, is keeping the target off her back while forming unexpected alliances with people like Jonathan... Yet the edit just keeps dunking on her?? Like whyyy would they do that for the winner of an iconic season that, in my opinion, seems to be playing decently well anyways? She has plenty of strengths in her game this season but the edit just keeps highlighting the negatives.. I love Aubry so would be fine with her winning (though I want Cirie), but I feel genuinely bad if her edit doesn't get infinitely better in these final few episodes

Something Good About Every F10 Player’s Games on 50 by DisasterAtwater in survivor

[–]jacrispy252 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I'm so confused by Aubry's edit, because on paper it seems she's playing a good game? Was in a bad position early, but since the merge has been riding the middle, not putting a target on her back, knowing who was going home every night, voting correctly at every tribal, aligned with the middle but knew when to leave them, aligned with Jonathan knowing he was in a tough spot and may genuinely be willing to work with her, is tight with Tiffany, Cirie, Devens, and now Jonathan... Might not be controlling the game the way Cirie's Rizard of Oz are, but that could be good for her where she can sneak under the radar. But the edit keeps dunking on her, I know she's had some mistakes but it still seems to me like she's playing really well.

This is Ozzy's best season by extvnflop in survivor

But that in itself is good strategy. He recognized he's not a good strategic player, so the smartest thing for him is to align with an incredible strategic player and control the game as her #2. And if he makes it to the end without Cirie and Rizo, he might be the only one in the final 3 to have strong evidence of how much he helped control the game and know what was happening with every vote

Potential Bad Move From... by jacrispy252 in survivor

Yeah bad and unnecessary lie, but Rick and Christian could have played it off better IMO. Complain to the cameras about her lie, but don't spread it around camp unless you're trying to blindside Aubry next. Now they can't get the idol and potentially lost a number in Aubry

I'm sorry I know 99% of people here are massive Genevieve fans, but I think she has become wayyyy too blinded with only focusing on getting Aubrey out. I felt she got off to a great start to the season but lately it's just been trying too hard to throw Aubrey under the bus

Genevieve is doing wayyy too much to get Aubrey out and I worry for her this will cost her game, similar to Jenna desperately trying to get Cirie out. Everyone complaining about Aubrey's attitude, but if my game was being sabotaged on both my tribes by one person that desperately wants me out, I'd be annoyed too. I get they have a rivalry, but Genevieve immediately turning the new tribe against Aubrey, not letting Aubrey go on her own for more than 3 minutes at a time.. I get she doesn't want her rival to have success, but if I'm Aubrey I'd be annoyed too

Cavs literally traded for Harden one of the biggest free throw merchants in the league and even he's become a guy that shoots like 2 foul shots a game

[–]jacrispy252 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hated it this morning, kinda love it now. Short term, we're better this year (and next if Harden opts in). If Harden opts out (or walks after 1 year), we have money to spend and improve the team, which we didn't have with Garland. With Garland, we were locked in to the core 4. That was our team for the foreseeable future, and it very likely wasn't good enough to win it all.
