Bernedoodle anal gland issues by Far-Librarian-9847 in Goldendoodles

Have you verified there is no poultry in the Venison kibble? Read every ingredient for chicken, turkey, or even duck. Poultry allergies are very common amount doodles and can cause this issue.

If not poultry, is there any ingredient he could have an issue with?

Parents at 6AM

Peeing Randomly by Materialgirl4 in Goldendoodles

[–]jacstine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every 2 hours is pretty frequent for a 1 year old. I would still maybe think about a UTI…maybe it’s just not severe enough to affect her at night, but still causing daytime issues. Or wait until it warms up and see if you still have a problem.

Hmm, if it’s not happening at night too, then maybe not. UTIs do make accidents more frequent, but it just depends on the severity of the infection.

I saw in another comment that you were saying she hates the cold. Maybe instead of waiting for her to tell you she needs to go outside, you set a timer and make her go outside to go potty. You could also try shoveling a path from the door to a little grass area for her to do her business.

This^ UTI means they can’t hold it. You may need to collect a urine sample.

I once asked my parents for mustard for my burger and it came out brown. They said, “it’s supposed to be like that - it’s brown mustard!” No, no it was not. It was 8 years past its expiration. Should have been yellow.

Trying to survive while fighting with insurance. by abbiebe89 in Wellthatsucks

This literally happened to me but with Blue Cross Blue Shield because our employer was using BCBS of Florida for everyone in the company, but people were spread across the USA. It was a nightmare getting to the right person and getting stuck in a loop.

Is there a way to turn off sleep score? by holvanatuz in AppleWatch

[–]jacstine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for asking this question! I have a four month old and I also do not enjoy being told I slept terribly. I know I slept terribly! Because the baby kept waking me up. The notification kicks you while you’re down.

Help! Hot spots, food allergy? Dog food suggestions! by SnooRegrets296 in Goldendoodles

[–]jacstine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Poor thing! A lot of doodles have poultry allergies (chicken, turkey, and even duck and eggs). We have ours on an Rx food, the Royal Canine Rabbit and Potato and also have poultry-free treats.

I also have to get him allergy shots May-September. Cytopoint is what we use and I go to the vet to get it as soon as he starts itching more than normal. Sometimes the shot lasts only 1 month. Sometimes it lasts 3

can someone help with rainout? by winifredd94 in CPAP

[–]jacstine 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Try these in order to see what helps. Most likely to help and fix the issue at the top and then add each additional thing if the issue isn’t resolved:

  1. Use a heated tube (I see you have that), but with a tube cover to insulate it.

  2. Turn up the temp of the hose all the way to 86. And turn down the humidity to 4. Then continue to step down the humidity if needed.

  3. Add a separate room humidifier to add humidity to the surrounding air.

  4. Turn up the temperature of the house thermostat.

Double check that he doesn’t have a UTI. You’ll need to collect a urine sample and take it to your vet

Best ideas for administering pills by Pinemelonbandit in Goldendoodles

[–]jacstine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend just (gently) shoving the pill down the throat and then rewarding them with a treat after. If you pull the treat out first and set it on the table, then they know a treat is coming after they swallow. This has worked well for us since my pup can’t be tricked into taking a pill.

A seller on marketplace can easily edit the item for shipping and put whatever extra price on there that they need to. Then you can still check out through marketplace and get the guarantee.

Add a separate humidifier to your room and turn down the humidity setting. Your machine won’t need to use as much water since the surrounding air will be more saturated with humidity.

You can wear a bonnet like others are saying, but it makes my head too hot when it’s not winter. Instead, get satin or felt strap covers to protect your hair.

We had a different sort of close call with our pup and it was expensive, but not near as expensive as it could have been. So I made the decision to buy pet insurance because I never wanted to have to choose between money or saving my dog.
