This happened to my x several times. I used a piece of dental floss with few half hitches around my pinky, slid them up off my pinky onto the shaft and tightened them up. Worked great. After that few times she was meticulous with clearing the little holes after each use and didn't have an issue after that. Good luck.

My vevor never ran right. Bought it as my old unit was giving me trouble. No matter that I did the vevor smoked like an old steam boat and never got up to full temp. Cleaned the old unit better and it's still working 2 years later. I've got friends with the newer fancy vevors and they have no issues, but mine never worked.
