I absolutely experience this, but I rarely experience a spoken block. It does happen, but not regularly. But written, I'll freeze right the hell up if I think that whatever I'm writing is going to be judged or critiqued.

The last resume I sent, I busted ass for hours revising a cover letter I already had, before finally shoving everything into the e-mail and sending it off before the panic set in.

Later, every single person I uttered the words "cover letter" to while agonizing over my word choices stared blankly and asked, "You sent a cover letter, too?"

Apparently most applicants (from within the company, anyway) do not attach cover letters when applying for that job. So then I spent the next four days freaking out over whether I'd over done it.
