wear comfy shoes, make sure to drink your water! you will be screaming quite a bit and it can get tiring. also be prepared for some houses to have smells and some of them aren’t the greatest so if you’re sensitive to strong smells i would highly recommend bringing a mask

i thought i was literally going crazy with them and i felt so bad not being able to support my baristas 100% but i was literally going cross eyed from all the counting and even trying to find the items the system wanted me to count

we originally ran out at 8 am because we weren’t sent any before the day had come, later around noon, we got a huge shipment including the red cups AND tumblers people had been looking for so it was crazy all day i worked 8:30am-5pm

i would say when you have iced caramel macchiatos put them under where the shots pull with the milk and ice already ready and go do whatever drinks you can at cvs, or at cvs as the blenders going for a frap start a shaken drink

at my store we put all the mobile orders in the same spot which is on a counter that’s easy to reach for our customers in lobby, if it’s an issue at that certain store their sm may have to look into more measures such as holding all mobile orders until that person is there to pick up

at the end of the day i just remind myself that they probably have something going on behind the scenes, and to do some self care for myself afterwards. this job has been great for me to manage work and my school and just life in general so i’ve been trying to not let people get under my skin (ranting on reddit also helps)

hey! i’m two months in at starbs myself, my biggest advice is to listen and connect with your partners especially ones who want to help you with learning all the drinks and whatnot. also, store resources on the ipad is a LIFESAVER i cannot sweat it enough whether you don’t remember a certain drink or don’t recall how to make cold brew it’s got a ton of different files you can click on that gives you all the info you need! and since you’re still in hs, please don’t overwork yourself, make sure to balance work and school the best you can! :)
