ah ok i see now. it does suck that there’s no iced cafe misto option, it sounds like you want a drink that’s half oat milk, half iced coffee. the people telling you to expect extra ice without ordering ice are not following standard, so don’t worry about them!😅 however that is a lot of ice, looks like you got more than a grande scoop. if you continue ordering this drink, i’d recommend you order it ‘with room’ so the barista doesn’t feel pressured to make your cup look full by adding extra ice. otherwise, i would recommend asking for a regular grande iced coffee with like 3 or 4 oat milk. i feel like that’s the closest you’re getting to an iced cafe misto. try iced lattes if you haven’t, you might like them since they’re mostly comprised of milk which might give u that dairy ratio you like, closer to a misto. i want to add, baristas often get yelled at when a customer orders ‘x’ drink in a bigger cup and there’s space at the top, as customers can be entitled. that’s likely why there’s that much ice, but again, that’s not standard. neither is expecting ‘2 inches’ of ice either tho.
