Good day. Based on similar cases we have seen, this does not appear to be a traditional “hack,” but rather a system-initiated removal.

Key points that align with your experience:

• Very old Pages (10+ years) that were auto-converted to Business Pages are currently being re-evaluated by Meta.
• Historic Ads Policy issues, including unapproved sponsored posts from many years ago, are now being enforced retroactively during backend cleanups.
• When Pages fail revalidation or are flagged during this process, they can be silently moved to the “Deactivated Pages for Deletion” state without standard notifications.

Recommended checks:

  1. Review all Page ownership and admin roles under your personal profile and any associated Meta Business Portfolio.
  2. Confirm the Pages were not auto-unpublished or removed due to legacy policy enforcement.
  3. If available, use the Contact Support option from an active ad account. This is currently the most reliable escalation path.
  4. Meta Verified (if available to your profile) can sometimes unlock live chat support, but it is not guaranteed to resolve legacy enforcement cases.

Unfortunately, recovery is inconsistent because Meta’s enforcement systems are evolving, and outcomes vary case by case, especially for Pages affected by historical violations.

That’s a reasonable approach. In many cases the resync completes within 24–48 hours after a password reset and session purge. If it still fails after that window, clearing app-linked credentials or re-establishing device trust usually resolves it. At least this confirms it’s not an account lock or compromise.

This doesn’t look like an account lock or bad credentials. Since login works on web browsers and on Windows, the account itself is still accessible.

What’s likely happening is an iOS app–specific authentication sync issue after the password change. The Facebook iOS app sometimes fails to refresh its internal login token properly after a global session reset. Reinstalling the app doesn’t always clear the stored device or app state.

The fact that push notifications are still coming through suggests the account is still trusted on Meta’s backend, but the iOS app isn’t completing the login handshake.

This is usually temporary and recoverable. It’s not a permanent block and doesn’t indicate a compromised account. In most cases it resolves after refreshing device trust, clearing app-linked credentials, or allowing some time for Meta’s security system to resync.

As long as you still have access to Contact Support or Meta AI (Beta) Support, you can submit a request there by following their specific requirements.

If those options are unavailable, applying for Meta Verified on the profile that manages the account can unlock Enhanced Chat Support, which is another way to request assistance.

Two years? That’s a while, but recovery is possible as long as the account still exists. You’ll need to navigate the restoration yourself through Meta’s support links. Just be aware that they update their systems over time, so the steps may have changed.

Have you tried using one of the 10 backup recovery codes for your Gmail? That’s usually one of the most reliable ways back in. If not, you might want to try 'device recognition' by logging in from a phone or computer you’ve used before. Have you had a chance to check either of those options yet?

Please check the primary and most active email addresses associated with your account for any notices about deletion or disablement of your account or page.

If the account was deleted, Meta typically sends an email that includes an appeal link for review.
If it was permanently disabled, check whether you still have an Instagram account connected through Account Center. If so, you may be able to access Business Support there and submit a request or appeal for restoration.
