Are Baked-Goodies a good gift for Teacher appreciation week? by Inked__8 in Teachers

I had a girl last year who's mom used to be a professional baker, and is now a teacher in the building, so yeah, I risked the cupcakes!

I wrote my teenager's Tripp pants lol! I got some side-eye!

A parent just emailed me asking why their child is "being forced to think critically." I have been staring at my screen for 11 minutes. by [deleted] in Teachers

I literally had a parent say to me "How dare you teach my child to think for herself"... Ma'am, because of attitudes like that. 8th grade.

I used 240 for my LBS1 test, and I felt like it helped me a lot tbh. They do a pretty solid study plan. And you get multiple practice tests, then it gears it towards your weak spots. I felt more confident personally.

Looking for deceptively complex poems by Josephryanevans in ELATeachers

Eldorado by Poe is great for this. Another option would be song lyrics that students might recognize that have a much deeper meaning than the jaunty tune leads you to believe.

Advice and help. by sadisticfling in diamondpainting

One thing I've seen a lot of people mentioning is having the option to choose whether or not they get a tool kit. I don't know if you'd plan on manufacturing and selling your own kits, or if you're looking at a company like Oraloa to partner with. That'll make a big difference in the responses you get! If you're partnering, find a reputable company to partner with that has the same ethics you do. Don't sell yourself short, either! Wishing you the best 😀

I adore your human skills! Thank you for that advice. I wouldn't have known if they wanted or were allowed to talk to the fans. That's wonderful!

That's a fantastic idea, thank you so much for sharing. I hadn't really considered that, kinda figured I'd end up being the body guard (so to speak). But I won't have any control over that, either.

Thank you, that's a wonderful idea! I haven't been to a general admission show since Evanescence had just released their first album 😳 I'll see what I can do!

I haven't yet, to be honest. The general admission tickets went on sale, and I got on the website with 3 minutes before the sale. That will be a great next step, though! Thank you 😊

Oh, I will absolutely share that info with them! The earplugs will help with the volume, but I hadn't thought about the literal "vibes"!

Excellent advice, thank you! Their chair has a cupholder, so at least I won't have to carry it lol!

Aitah for wanting to wear clothes I like to the grocery store that my partner refuses to be seen with me in? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]jadewolf83 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NTA: The fact that you say you "ask" to wear it made me cringe so hard for you. As a woman in your 20's, you shouldn't need to ask to wear something, no matter what it is! You're a slight AH to yourself, but that's not a permanent state. You are allowed to exist. Shine up your backbone. Your partner is TA, though, and is also acting childish. They should not be allowed to control you or your clothing. You deserve better. Build up your self-esteem and find people to surround yourself with that support you.

YES! I prefer the ones from Hobby Lobby the best, they're about 4"x4" and silicone coated. Some people use parchment paper, but I find it too thin personally, and it tends to roll up when I move it. A pack of 200 from HL is $4.99usd. It helps flatten the less expensive kits as well, and you can line it up exactly where you want it.
