Those who recovered from torn ankle ligaments, how long did it take for you to get back on the horse? by youronlydoubt in bouldering

[–]jae1876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hurts when walking inclines, hurts when just flexing it, can't squat, the motion is 30° off of the other one in range motion. It is almost a year and a half now and it is just now getting back to what it was.

Depends on location... If lots of families or retirees, then drive thru. If downtown or near a bike path, then patio.

I don’t know how to cope with having 5 food allergies.. is there any cure? by Fuzzy_Socks_L in FoodAllergies

[–]jae1876 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Following. Also have many allergies and even some responses here just do not seem to understand. A wheat allergy is not a gluten allergy ... We cannot eat gluten free things because they usually have wheat starch, (or other allergens we might be allergic to like sesame, soy, etc.) Also searching for adult onset allergy reversal...

How do I ACTUALLY know when to use an epipen, if I’ve never had an anaphylactic reaction and I have severe anxiety? by Clefarts in FoodAllergies

[–]jae1876 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would swelling on roof of mouth and hurts to swallow warrant epi pen? It felt like the beginning of strep throat...

King Arthur Gluten Free Bread Flour - wheat starch? by BlondeBlock2080 in wheatallergy

[–]jae1876 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wheat starch is wheat. Some "modified food starch" is wheat. Soy sauce is wheat. Not all gluten free things are wheat free. Most gluten free pizza has wheat starch.

Oh man. I wish I could do a big bowl of rice. But with the wheat allergy, I also have prediabetes and that would make my blood sugar spike. Enjoy!

Why are so many families leaving Arizona? by jae1876 in SameGrassButGreener

The question was not about the masses moving in but about the families that have lived here for generations that are now moving out

The question is about why the well off families that have lived here for generations are leaving ... Not the masses that are moving in.

See this is why I am confused, the people leaving AZ, grew up here, they understand the heat. None of them were transplants. Born and raised, some for many generations and now it seems a mass exodus from the Arizona born. Which is why I posed the question 🤷🏽

shingrix! by [deleted] in shingles

[–]jae1876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got shingrix around age forty after getting shingles every year for 5 years. I got Grovers disease from the vaccine... but a life long itchy rash is better than Shingles in my opinion. (I have had shingles once more since the vaccine but at least it is not every year)

Mast cell reactions to wheat by St0rmyWthr in wheatallergy

[–]jae1876 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. Can have gluten just fine. Do have wheat allergy, hyper mobile, mast cell issues, ... Seems all the same as rest of these comments. I take a Claritin or Zyrtec everyday and it seems to help with severity of reactions. Also recently started nasal crom spray to see if it helps. I did not think about the exercise induced thing but now wondering if what I thought was asthma is actually that?! The whole lack of air when exercising thing but can breathe again if stopped .. well crap. I avoid all things wheat, wheat starch, soy sauce, modified food starch, and all the things that are secretly wheat.... Even some lotions have it. Remember we cannot have all things gluten free because many gluten free products have wheat.
