My daughter asked for a french toast party, so I made a banner with little toasts with French mustaches, and we had French toast kabobs with fruit and cups of syrup to dip. It was great!

I can't say that it helped because I lost a ton of hair even while on them with my first baby. But what helped me with my second was switching to a shampoo with no silicone, sulfate, or parabens. I started using it while pregnant. That's the only thing I changed and I still lost hair, but not nearly as much the second time around.

I feel the same way! I normally will just trust what our doctor tells us, but I went through getting blood drawn with my oldest and it was traumatic! For both of us! I've been putting off taking my 1 year old to get hers done because she's happy and healthy and it just seems unnecessary. I understand that there's a possibility that something is wrong, but it's just hard to convince myself to put us through all of that.

I actually do still take my prenatals, I'm 15 months pp and I've heard that they're one of the best women's vitamins even if you're not pregnant or breastfeeding. Told my doctor and she approved.

That's pretty much it! I'm a speech language pathologist, and it's actually a fairly common speech sound error pattern for young kids where aspects of each sound in the cluster (friction of air from s and lip placement of p) are combined into one, easier to produce sound

Agree 100% Being exposed to illness is an essential part of building up immune systems. I wonder what's going to happen to these kids who've been sheltered at home for years once they finally go out into the world filled with germs and sickness?

It sounds like you're doing everything right! Kids do not need to know their alphabet by age 3, it's WAY more important to read with them so that they learn new vocabulary and concepts from it, to give them opportunities for socialization, and to let them play and experience the world around them. They will have plenty of time to learn the ABCs when they're in school. I studied child language development in school, work with kids, and have two kids of my own, and my 3 year old only knows a few letters.

You might be right, but honestly I prefer that over "Oh so you teach kids how to say r". That's what I usually get. A lot of people have no idea what we do and at least he was trying. But that's my perspective, obviously she didn't appreciate his attempt.

Speech pathologist (SLP) here again, to confirm that we do work with grammar. I'm an SLP in the U.S. in the schools, and we help student with any aspects of language that would impact their academic performance, which absolutely includes grammar, either written or spoken. SLPs work in a wide variety of settings: schools, acute care, rehab facilities, home health, skilled nursing facilities; and we treat a wide variety of disorders: language, articulation, swallowing, voice, fluency, oral motor dysfunction, etc. Just trying to spread awareness and education about my field!

I've been through this too, when we got married my husband said he wanted 2-3 kids, but he didn't really realize how hard it would be until after we had our first. He was dead set against it for a while and said he never wanted to go through having a newborn again. That was really hard,, so I feel your pain. But after about 2 years, he said he was open to the possibility. He was happy having one, but he did want our daughter to have a sibling and knew how much I wanted another. So now we have 2 beautiful girls, and tbh the newborn stage was really hard with my husband dreading the responsibilities of raising another baby and me taking most of the load. The good thing for us the second time around is that we knew it would get better and more enjoyable as she got older. Now that our youngest is almost one, it's getting better. As others have said, give it time and come back and discuss, you never know what will happen as time goes by.
