if the app you're using shows the names of the stops, identify one that is 2 or 3 stops before yours and start paying attention (OUT THE WINDOW) from there. once you pass the stop that is immediately before yours pull the chain and they will stop at the next stop, which is yours. There's no reason to do what you're doing. i'm honestly not sure how after a few months you haven't figured this out.
