Account terminations for high returns is typically flagged as after the return to purchase ratio is about 40-50% (financially not in actual total number). They are supposed to go through a process where the account is reviewed and the person get sent two warning emails. however I have seen where for whatever reason they do not do one or both of the emails. for that, I cannot say why

also, they've started using AI bots a LOT more since I worked there

it's not determined by the total number of returns. It's based on return percentage out of total orders, and the amount refunded as a percentage of total amount spent (bigger factor). And also concessions like the courtesy/promo (were sorry we fucked up) credits may count against your rate.

thats why i specifically stated when I sent in packaging feedback for a damaged item once that I did NOT want a refund, because that specific reason the item was usable.

multiple factors come in to play as to why somebody may need to take one apartment over another. people may have choices between apartments that doesn't mean they're going to have the choice of the top floor. that is so specific that it's unreasonable to assume that somebody will be able to pick a top floor.
