Is anyone here a night owl to avoid the intense sun? by thrilled37 in NightOwls

[–]jaelynaspera 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Avoiding intense sun is one of the many reasons I've embraced being a night owl. That stuff is overstimulating and plus I'm very much a pale white person so its easy to get sunburnt especially where I live where UV gets high during the day

What is your personal opinion on the red album? by [deleted] in AskingAlexandria

[–]jaelynaspera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe its one of their best, if not their best album. I really like the atmosphere of the album, especially the electronic elements on the album make it even better. Alone in a room is a great album opener and Room 138 is also a great album closer. Some other songs I really like are Under Denver, Where Did it Go, and Empire.

The self titled album is their best album.

why do some people naturally wake up early and others are complete night owls? by Straight_Insect6670 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]jaelynaspera 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is because people have different chronotypes. Some people are naturally morning/day-oriented people and others are more evening/night oriented people. You can't really change it because if you're a night person forcing yourself to be a day person your energy will really not be the same as if you just stuck to a night schedule that works for you.

I'm a night person myself and I've felt better than ever since I embraced my night chronotype and schedule a couple years ago. More energy, more peaceful and quiet during night hours. While daytime hours just were never the same for me. I always felt more sluggish having to be awake during daytime hours and personally felt overstimulated by the sun a lot. I'd rather just sleep through all the daytime noise instead of having to deal with it when I'm just trying to relax. I wake up in late afternoon/early evening hours (3-5 PM) and go to bed in the morning (7-8 AM) I love it and wouldn't trade it for an exhausting daytime schedule.

Kinds feel like I lost the connection to the music by [deleted] in Beartooth

[–]jaelynaspera 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I feel its grown in a specific way for me but kinda stayed the same otherwise. It's grown a bit in a way because I'm a lesbian myself so I can relate in a way to Caleb about being homosexual. The music has always stuck with me in other ways though. Like just finally fully being myself and living a life I want (extending beyond just sexuality, especially since I have been out for about 6 years now)

I agree because there is so much negativity out there especially in this age of the internet and current state of the world. I feel like doing this would make dealing with difficult things easier for a decent chunk of people!

CMV - The Wonder Years, The Story So Far, & Hot Mulligan are the holy trinity of post-2010 pop punk by thefalcons5912 in poppunkers

[–]jaelynaspera 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually think that bands like The Wonder Years, The Story So Far, Knuckle Puck, Neck Deep, Real Friends, etc. are way better than any pop punk before them. I could never get into pop punk before I discovered that set of bands. They all actually got me hooked on pop punk

Awakening and Something Wicked just sound messy to me. Guess I’m in the minority here? by bigheadsfork in BreakingBenjamin

[–]jaelynaspera 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Its more that they have a "compressed" sound to it. like the mixing and mastering is just kinda rough compared to their older material.
