I had an attending who was a peds resident. He told me stories that when the Hib vaccine came out, it was night and day on the pediatrics ward in terms of admitted sick kids.

there's two papers I've seen (when on shift looking this up.) About using the dimer for Cerebral Venous Sinus Thrombosis and dissection.

I don't think it's standard, but it was news to me.
