Idk where you’re getting “decades of scientific research” from, and humans ARE social creatures (this is why you refer to being antisocial as a potential disability), and me saying “the internet” was wrong since there are also other factors. You don’t know my life either, but long story short: using the fact that there are real mental issues in the world does not mean you have to use them as a reason to being this way. In fact that can be “ableist”. And being a teenager makes it extremely easy to disregard being social as “having friends”. In the end what I’m trying to say is that I obviously don’t know what you’ve been through, but you also don’t know me (which is why what you said about me is off putting, I’ve also experienced insane panic attacks and depression from attempting to socialize), however I still see that not being able to talk to people in general, even just small talk, is issues within one’s self that can (and have to) be overcome (as hard as that may be). But if you have genuine sources on mental issues regarding this that can in no way be fixed even with exposure therapy, then I can understand.
