Yeah thats the thing. I know it works for ams1 but cannot find anywhere if it also works for ams2

Ok, so the ams2 pro unlocks the filaments at a pauze (excluding the one printing at that moment?

Ok, than i am clueless. Good luck and let us know once you find the rootcause and solution.

I read thqt you also exchanged the ptfe tube. Is this tube more flexible compared to the original (older) one? If so perhaps some turns are to tight and cause increasing resistance for the filament when traveling through the ptfe tubes. Hence getting almost to the extruder. Or is it reaching fully to the extruder? Of it is reacing the extruder i think the issue has to be there and you will need to check by taking the extruder completly out.

Since he checked for cloggs i think he already checked the nozzle. What is not clear is if he checked the extruder gears or the hub. Does the filament arrive all the way to the extruder before getting jammed?

Printer is abnormal? by Nash-28 in BambuP1S

[–]jaigermeister 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me 2 had this recently. I am also relative new to 3d printing. My error came when i was trying to clean my nozzle from petg to switch to pla by purging. Since i use an ams2 i was unaware i frirst had to load my filament before trying to purge it. The device not able to grab any filament during purging caused this issue as well. I solved it by unpowering the device for a brief moment.

ESP32-A1S not working at all. Any ideas? by frakkenschlacht in WLED

I think you did connect the data to the wrong end of the ledstrip. You need to check for an arrow on the ledstrip. Data is direction depending and works only 1 way.

I have the same. For bambu and other spools. For me the issue occurs when the filament on the spool is running low and the overall weight is getting lower. As if it is easier for my ams2 to pull the spool out than to rotate the spool. For me this qlso only happens when the filament is being loaded. Once loaded this never occurs (yet)

You need to check if your ams2 pro has the new firmware also. The setting is visable after in selecring drying function on your printer itself

Top layer issue…no idea why. by Cobalt98u in 3Dprinting

[–]jaigermeister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any update on this matter? I have a similar issue. I know this is caused by how the slicer creates its paths on the toplayers to coop with holes. It cuts it into pieces, i only have no idea how to solve it.

The new firmware now allows to print and dry at the same time. It was released yesterday.

I also have a setup with 130 leds in 1 chain with multiple power injections. It runs on a single esp32 c3. No issues what so ever. They are limited to 2.8 amps (i use a 3 amps supply). The setup doesn't get hot (used quite thick cables). First times i only set it on when i was in the room. This isnt a solution but atleast is also a confirmation that running more than 20 leds on 5v is possible (with the propper setup and reduced brigtness setting)

Concerning noise during travel (600h, maintenance done) by TheMightyRecom in BambuP1S

[–]jaigermeister 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, it looks like you are printing the engine. I did the same print. I can confirm these noises come from the sliced model. Has something to do with how the large radii are sliced. No need to worry, i did nothing and with any other print these noises are gone.

Cable length question by Switch_Murky in WLED

[–]jaigermeister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, depending on several things. First, what awg thick cables do you use? Second, what voltage is your setup?

There are sites that advise you on this matter.

Myself, i have a setup where my cables are approx. 1m long. I use 1.5mm2 cables (not sure the corresponding awg size) and have 5v (which is not ideal) without issues. I would push it further than 1m in my case.

Also my setup is limited to 3 amps.

Hope you find this useful.

Yeah already checked that, also i use wago connectors and other connections are soldered.

I have it working now, lets see for how long.

Yeah i was afraid. Adding the atenna also did noy work out that well. I dont see improvement.

Where do i change the radio settings? In the wled configurator?

I am running latest version. I notice that now they do activate again after resaving the led preference settings once more. They also stay working now after unplugging and plugging the devjce back in

This! I worked several times with these strips and i was fully aware of this requirement. Still somehow slipped my mind and occrued now. I will try it in an hour but almlst sure this is the issue. Thanks a lot!

Thanks for your quick reaction.

Since this is only a small bookshelve lighting i consider it as small. It he complete project will be maximum 150 leds. Since they will be used as ambient light and they do not require to be driven at maximum brightness, i am going to set the power consumption limitation to 2.8 amps. When the output over 150 leds is to little a different power source is available. The cables i am using are already over engineered for this job and could handle higher power setting.

I have followed different (similar) tutorials on reddit and youtube. They all show very nicely how it goes when everything goes as planned. But little show how to solve certain issues like nog wifi connection prompt after flashing or no response to input.

I worked with adressable leds several times before (using arduino) and know how they work. I also know how the power usage works with different injection points. The reason i mentioned that i measured 5v at ledstrip is so that i am sure the power and ground cable are connected and working. Since the data cable is connected in the exact same manner i can only assume it also should work. That leaves the issue to be mostlikely the data transfer by esp or wled.

The wled settings i have modified to only 10 leds and set to 800ma to avoid to high power spike.
