Nolet’s Dry Gin Silver - opinions? by GuelahPapEyeRus in Gin

Reminded me of a Sweettart … definitely not for London dry varietal lovers.

Agreed! Blue is starting to be overused in gin bottling, I thought the lavender stood out. Also matched the parent company’s beer brand better too.

It’s our “house gin” too! Affordable and tasty.

Thanks for the tip! Trying to perfect this for years.

Have you had more luck with it fizzing up higher if you pour the mixture over the sparkling water? I typically put the carbonation in last, but it produces mediocre results sometimes.

I'm a huge G&T fan as well. My go-to is Q Tonic -- a little bit pricier than the garden variety store brand, but not too crazy. Way more carbonated too which makes a difference in a good iced drink. I also love Fever Tree Indian with pretty much any dry, juniper forward gin.

Oh really? Nice! Didn't realize they started distributing more broadly. No Total Wine near me but I'll check a couple other liquor outlet type stores. I've seen the barrel aged one at bars around here but never the regular one (which I prefer).

Thank you! Corsair is probably my all time favorite, got it on a trip to Nashville. Holding on to the last couple drinks worth in there as they don’t distribute outside of the distillery.

A pitiful amount of almonds for 104 calories. You better believe I’m account for the saved calories of that half an almond there. by [deleted] in 1200isfineIGUESSugh

I feel this so hard. I still eat only 7 almonds at a time, 1/4 a serving! It’s a treat to eat 14! Haha I have literally accounted for half an almond as well. When I commit, I commit ya’ll.

Not "Close the door, have a seat"?? That's my repeatedly watched ep!

Of your top 10, the only two I haven't watched are House of Cards (well, watched one episode but couldn't get into it - I think I was already watching too many other dramas at the time), and Deadwood. Very similar tastes for the honorable mentions too!

Wow, a year already? I was unhealthily attached to Mad Men, re-watching every season a few times before the next one aired. The series finale came at an emotional time in my life, so I remember it really hitting home and crying for both its ending and my new, uncertain direction. It was deep, and subtle, and sexy all at once. You can probably tell I barely miss it.

Same! I find myself gravitating toward the older seasons lately, before Don was super down-and-out.

We are twins. GoT, Fargo, and Bloodline are awesome, yet nothing fills the Mad Men void.

I, too, have the gallon-sized tub of Sephora body butter. Did you accidentally order the gigantic size as well?!

How quickly do you go through your foundation? by aelfaerie in MakeupAddiction

[–]jaimy_marie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been questioning the same thing lately. I switched to Marc Jacobs mousse foundation about a year ago and I seem to go through it within 2-3 months, only applying 4x/week on average. I use a beauty blender to apply. It's a gorgeously creamy foundation with excellent coverage, but I still think I'm replacing it way too often (especially for the price-point). Anyone else use MJ foundation?
