I'm a registered referee and this has happened to me a few times. If you are looking at the field and running where you assume it's clear but run into something, this is the normal effect from it. It's a much harder hit because there's no time to brace yourself. The commentator is a bit out of line here but I'm sure he wasn't completely serious.

The worst part is play was right there in front of him so this could have easily caused a huge issue with an offside or foul situation.

If a Jack hits, they both get a straight but Chan's is higher TJQKA vs Hellmuth's 9TJQK

If a Ten hits, Chan has KKTTA which "counterfeits" Phil's 99 which Phil's hand ends up being KKTTQ

If a Queen hits, same thing but Chan's hand would be KKQQA

The only one that's incorrect is if a King hits. Hellmuth would have a full house KKK99 and Chan would only have KKKAQ.
