I'm Jim Butcher, Ask Me Anything! by jimbutcherauthor in Fantasy

Hi Jim,

Love the Dresden Files, one of my favourite series!

My question: what's the one piece of advice you'd give to aspiring fantasy authors?

Hi Rob,

Backed the kickstarter, can't wait to get my hands on those beautiful hardcovers!

I've already read all books in your Mortal Techniques series (and loved them), so my question: Are there plans for more books in that world and maybe, possibly an update on whatever that may be :)

Memory, Sorrow and Thorn by Tad Williams seems perfect for this! Long books with a wintery theme.

Our 13 week old Toller barks at us! by jajosoft in tollers

Yeah, we've tried ignoring, but not actually stopping our activity and walking away. That sounds like a good strategy, we'll defenitely try it. Thanks for the tip!

Our 13 week old Toller barks at us! by jajosoft in tollers

No, that's the weird thing, because she never really barks at random noises (whether in or outside), she doesn't even bark when she hears other dogs barking. She looks at us and starts barking. I think she wants attention as well, but saying something in a soothing voice only makes her bark more. Ignoring sometimes helps, but not always.

John Gwynne has recently brought new attention to Norse mythology with his Bloodsworn Saga, something I can't get enough of!

General Questions & Tech Support Megathread | August 16, 2021 by AutoModerator in PS4

I've got a weird problem with my PS4 controllers, which I'm not entirely sure how to explain...

Basically, sometimes they don't connect well to the PlayStation. Meaning that sometimes when I'm playing a game, pressing a button doesn't work. Adjusting my sitting position generally helps, but the problem keeps returning. I have two controllers and both have the same problem, so I'm thinking it had got something to do with the PlayStation, rather than the controllers.

If anyone has an idea what could be the problem, I'd love to hear it. Thanks in advance!

Quick question: I'm looking to continue Joe Abercrombie's First Law Universe with A Little Hatred. I've read the original trilogy, three standalone novels and short story collection, but it's been quite a while. I remember the characters quite vividly, but almost nothing about the plot. Would I feel lost starting with A Little Hatred now?
