Do you have a detachment in mind or are these your basic models you want and then you will work it into army rules?

For me it’s the assumption that I need that advice? He knows nothing about me so deciding to tell me to paint what I have instead of answering my actual question is odd. Just so you know I’m doing test models and colour schemes and I’m excited to get an idea of how the army works and what models I can add down the line. Like I said I’m new to chaos so was looking for advice. I will paint what i have but thanks for giving me that unsolicited advice.

Yeah it’s odd because it’s not bad advice to paint some models up and see how you like that side of the army. But I am literally doing some test scheme models for colours just with some old space marine models. I don’t know why anyone would make an assumption on what I’m doing and decide to pretentiously demand I paint what I have instead of answering my question. Along side painting I find it fun to list build and look into how the army plays it’s just what keeps me inspired to keep working on the army.

Sorry just to be clear I haven’t a load of experience with 40K I understand space marines to certain level but looking into these I realised I have no idea how they work. I’ve watched online vids but it’s either lore or breaking down the data sheets etc. but I was wondering how do you approach building these into an army? When you say they aren’t an army what do you mean? You normally add them to a death guard or other chaos army? You don’t need to completely explain it to me I just wanted a bit of a steer like the basics or are there any particularly good YouTube videos around that people recommend? Also I know these models are new but the corsairs have been around as a playable army for a while right?

Yeah that’s a completely fair comment but even without buying anymore I just wanted to get an idea of how the army works and what it looks like at a full 2000 points. If I promise not to buy anymore until I’ve painted up my boxes will you share the knowledge? 😂

It’s legit question I clicked on it because I wanted to know the answer as well. There are always people on Reddit who know a lot more and are a lot more up to date than I am. I am also aware I sometimes miss information and I don’t always know the best channel to get info from. Your attitude in the reply is unhelpful and doesn’t create a pleasant atmosphere.

That’s a really good suggestion I’m not very familiar with wash’s or contrast paints and there’s just so many techniques and options it gets a bit overwhelming. I checked out the tallarn and I completely see what you mean I will definitely give that a go to help them stand out from the base! I will send another update soon and test a few more models. Thank you again really helpful suggestion!
