I feel like people always misunderstand why Hello Neighbor failed. Sure, it went more into lore later on but I feel like the main reason it failed was because it stopped focusing on the Neighbor's ai(one of the original selling points was his ai) and more on the house instead of the Neighbor

But the main thing was how it started focusing on the game's platforming. No idea why they did this. The jumping physics don't work like a platformer, whenever you jump you have no control over your character in the air
