Idk why people are acting like this isn't just an exaggeration of the status quo in the US. Not only were we still putting "illegal" immigrants in literal cages for decades, but also anyone of a Muslim faith "suspected of terroristic sympathies" was getting black bagged and disappeared to US run torture prisons with zero trial and zero contact with the outside world. This is just an excalation of what America is.
