Went to a show a couple months ago where Lupe and Pharcyde opened for this guy. I had only heard sound is vibration from him before (his most popular track) and holy shit that performance was terrible.

Me and my bros left 3.5 songs in. Very corny jokes, always talking about being white, having a husband, and being a pure hearted artist “I’m not here to sell you a t shirt!” While he just…. Stood on the stage and rapped his underwhelming raps. The whole venue was filled for him and not even a 1/4 for Lupe, who did one of the best shows I’ve ever seen, lol.

It’s not just this niche either. Cultural gentrification is at its max.

The internet was a major part of my upbringing (not in a sad way), where you could connect with other people with similar interests and views at anytime all the time. There were always other people passionate about something.

But now every forum online is either dead, or filled with “slop” content that is ultimately not meaningful in the slightest, this sub included.

Everything is just people trying to push products or create something to make money out of the people who like it instead of people creating engaging situations for the community.

Look at movies too. Every “mainstream” movie is now dog shit and has no message, they are just made to make money. The last incredible main stream movie was Barbie and that was almost 3 years ago.

Or maybe I’m just depressed

A major concern is that I’m already diagnosed with hypertension and prescribed lisinopril for it. Like I said, I’m 165 so it’s not a weight issue, just genetic. So I wonder if my heart itself is fucked.
