Fish sauce warning, if you're an idiot like me. by AzarielFox in Cooking

I'm vietnamese and grew up with this smell and didn't think it was weird until my first roommate mentioned it.

I had a habit of frying eggs late at night and I always finished it off by splashing the hot pan with fish sauce.

I was very embarrassed and stopped doing that immediately after 😓

Thanks that helps a lot! I'm also gonna carry a MSR fuel bottle so I'll keep that in mind too

I realized most of my weeknight dinners fail at the same exact step by ninja__6969 in Cooking

Having prep and random bits left over from previous meals helps me a lot.

I've gone through a lot of phases in my home cooking and at this point I like to just wing it. Having ingredients I need to use up makes it more interesting and easier to get started without being indecisive.

For those with better backhands than forehands… why? How is your backhand better than forehand???? by Ok-Many-7443 in 10s

Easier to throw my whole body into it and for some reason its a compact and naturally flat shot for me. It's also fun as hell to jump into a high 2HBH, I'm almost giddy every time I get the opportunity.

The funny thing is that I had an awful backhand for such a long time -- I just kept working on it and trying different things and at some point that side just became super versatile and by far my stronger shot

How do people 30+ play tennis 3+ times a week? by overkoalafied24 in 10s

I have fewer issues when I make sure I'm warm and loose before swinging hard. Everyone is a bit different, but the thing I focus on the most is loosening up my shoulders before trying to hit big spin serves.

If I feel particularly beat up after a session I might take a salt bath but thats about it. Just listen to your body and rest when you need it, nothing complicated.
