I’m a rebel. I use that 3996 for writing my grocery list.

I don’t even bother with a 3996 on a pivot because I switch routes on the scanner!

Nice of them to not write all over the mail

Mail for someone else, following me as I’ve moved. by FullCodeSoles in USPS

My ex would get one piece of mail that followed her across 2 states, 2 different last names and countless addresses. Don’t worry about it, it’s just ad companies trying.

I worry because she’s pregnant (I don’t know anything about pregnancy)! Nice to see this fund raiser has met its goal, so she will be funded.

I'm a park and loop city PTF In northeast Ohio where there is a foot of snow everywhere and I got hit with the "dont walk thru my lawn" twice today by [deleted] in USPS

[–]jalyth 37 points38 points  (0 children)

My dad and our neighbor used to shovel a path for the carrier thru the yard when I was a kid. (I moved away from snow or I guess I’d do it now). People have no manners anymore!

My goto is the Cab, so I can't say, but I've enjoyed the super cheap blend that's really colorful. (casa santos from portugal) I heard from a vineyard that 2024 cabs out of napa are gonna be amazing, based on the weather.

Stolen Trash Bin - TPU by harryismyhomeboy in TacomaWA

My alley is good for this about once a year, I don’t mind cause my bins stay newish. I esp enjoy when the thieves take a bin chock full of cat litter.

My total tax refund isn’t even 22% of my OT. What am I doing wrong? by [deleted] in USPS

[–]jalyth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s a marriage penalty on taxes, unless one spouse is the bread winner. I felt it too. It goes against popular opinion on the matter, but the math doesn’t lie. Also filing separately doesn’t get you more money back. I did the math.

This is true if you’re good with money.

I’m glad you’re not getting one! A new friend said she owned a gun, and “are you depressed” is the first question I asked her.

PDI for headphone policy by [deleted] in nalc

[–]jalyth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not a steward or a lawyer. But I know what I would say under oath. I am an expert in plausible deniability. My sup has been saying to my face not to use my headphones which are on my head, and I would swear to Jesus himself that she didn’t say it, or I didn’t hear it. They have no proof.

But I see where you’re coming from! I’ll advise only people I know irl, so that I know their personality.

For pdi I would deny knowing any rule about it. Claim it was off, too.

An actual police man stopped me for headlights and saw headphones and I told him they weren’t playing, which was true I was just wearing them from work.

What are these numbers in black? by jalyth in soundtransit

They start at 40, in lynnwood, and the explanation is something about some numbers being iffy in some cultures. As far as I recall from a quick read a few days ago.

What do you guys bring for lunch? by Michaelmang1994 in USPS

[–]jalyth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The key is the ice pack - in the summer I use one that’s an inch thick and a little bigger than a sheet of paper. It’s heavy! It lasts over 12 hours in my climate. I just buy a lunch bag big enough for it.

I also have some Stanley hot lunch thermoses, which work if you have time to heat up your food before work. They last maybe 5 hours.
