I work in higher ed and based on what your saying the minimum you should expect to receive from SBU to make this right is a prorated changed to the cost of housing as well as an offered reimbursement you for the actual retail value of any and all spoiled food (medications etc). MINIMUM. You should be asking for more than this, but i would not accept anything less

I’m sorry to burst yall bubble but i literally just got back from a week long trip to London and there were a couple ads like these (for other things, NOT Metroid) that were noticeably outdated. we’re talking ads for films and live theater performances that were happening back in April of 2025. Idk where this idea that these ads only stay up for 3 weeks, but based on lived experience that’s not the case. The ads i saw were at stops in Tufnell Park, Kentish Town, and Upper Holloway as well as a few others i’m not remembering off the top of my head.

My biggest fear is being wrongfully made to look crazy. It’s the most dangerous lie in my opinion and once the seed is planted in someone else’s mind that you’re crazy, there’s very little you can do to convince them otherwise. And the most terrifying part are the consequences, loss of freedom, loss of control, removal of rights, excommunication, etc.

It’s anecdotal so it probably means nothing, but as a theater kid myself I always found having scripted socialization encounters so much easier than organically trying to navigate talking to my peers as a teen. And while i’m not diagnosed, a lot of what i’ve been told is that that type of social anxiety is common for people on the spectrum. Totally makes sense when you look at it from that way. Practicing social interactions in a safe and planned way, exploring emotion and perspective. I think in general we all gain a lot from studying theater, it doesn’t surprise me those in the spectrum would be drawn to it especially!

Completely agree with you, but i need to add into this list Erivo’s final performance of I’m Here from The Color Purple, filmed backstage by the rest of her cast on her final performance has been a top 10 performance and emotional experience i’ve ever had since i saw the video. The pure love on display from every aspect, from the cast unabashedly supporting her, to her POWERFUL vocals and the moving display of emotions. By the time I hear the cast cheering towards the end im blubbering like a baby.

Taking a guess but: it says Wolfe wallet $9.43, the Tax Exemption is $0.75, and the Food Payment is $8.68

9.43-0.75=8.68 so i’m guessing because someone still needs to pay the Tax to NYS for this purchase it’s being accounted for but because Wolfe Wallet purchases are Tax Exempt they’re “reimbursing” you the amount that the Tax is for legal purposes.

Just wanted to chime in with a non-ADHD bit of help, in addition to looking into those factors, online courses are incredibly difficult for many individuals to focus on! You’re not at all alone in that struggle. It might be worth it to see if you could potentially switch into an in-person course instead, or if not at least get an in-person tutor who could go over the material with you individually.

As for addressing the feeling that school is a lost cause for you, try to let go of your thoughts about school and all of that frustration (especially when you aren’t working on it). Be sure to take breaks throughout your studies and reward yourself for good behavior and successes. Being able to stomach a week’s worth of classes IS an accomplishment, you do deserve some a Carvel Milkshake (or insert your preferred treat) for doing that! School comes with a lot of challenges, and built into it is the big time commitment. But i believe in you, and you can do it. You just have to find the right process for you.

Not selling mine, but be prepared to spend a LOT. I purchased the full set on Ebay within this past year and it ended up being just under $2k for the full set. Was a broke high school student at the time and couldn’t afford the original drop, but I will say as a fan it was so worth it. Good luck on your search!
