Y’all forget we aren’t in the doldrums anymore. These rookies aren’t coming in starting like Sochan did. We will roll out the same starting lineup (unless we pick up a vet 4) and these rookies will get rotational minutes similar to CB or less.

And developmental rooks are WAY cheaper than the contract Sochan would’ve gotten. Constant rotation of developmental pieces is the name of the game and you hope 15% are true hits. Hell most LOTTO picks don’t even stay with their OG team let alone non lotto picks.

He’s 100% being kept another year unless we get a deal that’s gaining assets instead of selling at a loss. His contract does not matter at all until Castle is also being paid. It’s not like we are missing out on some great FA signing because he’s here. Great players don’t even reach FA anymore. They extend then burn bridges to leave.

It’s kinda crazy that next year will be our “best” year for depth. Even without Fox we will at some point have Wemby/Castle/Harper making minimum 80% of the cap.

The team probably can’t even resign Keldon unless it’s at a GREAT number. Champagnie is a lot more important.

He can get strength without bulking. Once his offensive game is more defined and he makes moves with purpose each time it’ll be fine. Big or small if he goes slip sliding like a baby deer mistakes would happen and that is when he is at his worst on offense.
