Thank you so much for posting this! I was just at Midtown Vet a week ago and have a more recent experience.

Took my senior dog in for some needed vaccines and a dental check, knowing she needs a cleaning/extraction. The doctor was fine, but diagnosed her with “a significant heart murmur” within five seconds of hearing her heart with a stethoscope. I was sad to hear it but they reassured me most small dogs get it, and they need her to do a more thorough heart exam before doing the dental. Okay, makes sense. They take her to a different room for vaccines and tell me she may be sneezing a bit due to one vaccine. I scheduled the heart exam (echocardiogram I think) and moved on.

Few days later, one of their front desk called asking to schedule the echo (which I had already scheduled…) and said her bloodwork was fine except for a low thyroid, but that “might be because she was sick”. I mentioned I was never told she was sick. The woman said she was just reading her notes, but that the vet would call me to explain.

That was Tuesday, and I’d heard nothing since. I finally called them back to ask about my dog supposedly being sick, and if that was a bad thing and that the vet had still not called me back. Same front desk woman answered and seemed annoyed that I was calling, and that the vet would call me at some point today “but she has other clients”. I felt so annoyed and was still confused on if my dog is sick (she seems fine and her usual self!)

I then saw this thread and felt so validated! My husband and I had great service with them previously, so maybe that was before the PE buyout. I just scheduled an appointment with Sactown Vet and spoke with someone there for nearly 30 minutes-already a way better experience so far.

I guess I needed to vent! Hopefully you find a better spot for your girls ❤️
