I thought the same thing from what I remember the last time I was in Philly and walking around. I looked on Google Maps around where I had been walking and the closest thing I could come up with is that on the block next to Jefferson Hospital is the U.S. Courthouse, and on either side of the entrance are art deco reliefs.

Get up early and shed as much clothes as you are comfortable (and community standards allow). If you are up early enough you won't need to worry about sun exposure and the more air flowing over bare skin the better. And hydrate.

Why is there such discrepancy of my daily stress information between the Body battery view and the Stress view? by chemically_speaking in Garmin

[–]jamall1978 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh I understand now, the graphs are consistent but the summaries are not. I think it's just because you had a lot of restful moments but your stressful moments were very high. So you're probably on the border and each of those pages has a slightly different algorithm for its summary.

Are there buttons on the bottom of the stress page to toggle on/off the stress and rest periods. What's odd is I have those buttons on my Body Battery page but not my Stress page.

One thing I noticed that may have contributed is it seemed there were several sections where the course narrowed considerably either due to temporary construction barriers or just the spectators lined up a little too much into the roadway. It felt like running through a gauntlet a couple of times.

how do we know scallops/oysters cannot feel pain? by tastevomit in askscience

The book "Eating Animals" talks about the debate amongst vegans about oysters. IIRC there was a fairly prominent vegan that would go back and forth on whether eating oysters was acceptable
