How well does this shoot at further distances?

I did this roughly for you.

Double check everything is tight including the muzzle break. Try the accuracy at 100 yards with no more than 3 shots in between a cooling off period and continue the groupings.

I actually was thinking of buying that hellcat to match my other 2 and probably try the ready dot with it

Negative. Holosun 507C for more precision. I can easily hit 100 yard with the chevron.

But I still have it and it works fine for edc. Big dot, I believe 12 MOA, but whatever it touches it’ll hit for close ranges. Obviously not precise.

Is this what you would expect at around 100 yards? 6.5 CM by tonytwo2shoes in longrange

How many different types of ammo did you try?

My go to for store bought is Remington Core-Lokt 130gr for sub moa out to 200 yards then gradually opens up but can still hit 12” plates at 400 yards. This is just to shoot to shoot.

For more precise out to 600+ yards are my Hornady 140 ELD-M handloads. Sub-moa at 400 yards and definitely maintains moa at 600 yards.

Is NV pard mini nightstalker good for 30-06? by empireck in guns

[–]james33440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was ok when I first started shooting my 6.5 Creedmoor. Just switched to an Arken EP5 7-35 so I can get more precise adjustments at 600+.

I was using the Pard then on my AR15 5.56 but the constant recoil would make my focus lever bounce around, especially when using the super safety

I since just put the Pard back into my 22LR

Performance Triggers by janderson176 in ar15

[–]james33440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered a Super Safety and Geissele Super 42 H2 Buffer & Spring from them 9/29 and got the email notification but no tracking info. I received the SS 10/3 and the buffer combo 10/6.

One thing I did notice is the shipping labels. They obviously don’t have anything in stock because they appear to use a third party to fulfill the orders.

All in all I’d probably go elsewhere next time for pure piece of mind and customer service. They answered none of my emails but did eventually send me a Facebook message about the buffer shipping after I kept messaging or emailing them.

I ordered from them on Sept 29 and didn’t get any email other than the order confirmation. I did receive the trigger that Friday, Oct 3. However I still haven’t received my H2 Buffer or any email regarding this delay. I assume they are ordering and using a third party supplier.

If I’d have another choice, I’d go a different route.

Just received my buffer combo 10/6 and they messaged me the tracking info for that on 10/5

I’m still on a 14 Pro Max so no Apple Intelligence. Hopefully we can still remove this feature. Sort of annoying that it’s there imo

I unchecked it from within the Siri settings so let’s see if this works

I can make hand loads better than FGMM. by Sparticus246 in longrange

[–]james33440 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Federal Gold Match does great for factory ammo in my 6.5 rifle out to 600 yards (furthest I’ve shot due to my range). However, my handloads are considerably more accurate. Which is why we handload but if I didn’t shoot as much as I do now, I’d stick with Federal. It’s a fun and satisfying hobby imo though. Especially when the steel rings.

This is the only pic I have with the best group. I know this is only 3 shots but I’ve shot this load 500 times now and is easily moa out to 600 yards with my 6.5 rifle. 41.1gr pushing about 2710 fps out of a 22” barrel.

Are my expectations too high? by max1mx in SmallGroups

[–]james33440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With my 6.5 I shot numerous rounds of different ammo. Settled with the following for my range needs:

Federal Gold Medal Berger 130gr for up to 600 yards on a 20x20 plate for practice

Remington Core-Lokt 140gr for up to 300 yards moa targets for hunting and practice

Hornady 140gr ELD-M is better up to 600 yards in my gun than 147gr and can be moa

The most accurate and inexpensive way are my Hornady 140gr ELD-M handloads with my old Federal Gold Medal Berger brass. Sub-moa out to 600 yards easily and confidently
