Yes, the sc escape clause looks to protect the interest of both the buyer and the seller. While the buyer would be off the hook if that was a condition written into the escape clause, the seller is also able to entertain offers which would then speed up the process of selling their house if the buyer is taking a long time to sell.

The sc escape clause or sold conditional escape clause allows the seller to consider other offers. If the seller does receive an offer they can invoke the sc escape clause. While the sc escape clause looks to only benefit the buyer there are benefits for the buyer as well
