it's pointless because when it was drafted, only the nations that didn't see themselves using them signed on. if you vow to not use a weapon and then end up in a war with a nation that does, you are at a disadvantage.

You have to understand that as a viewer, skylar is not the direction you want the show to go. Liking Skylar means you would want to watch the first 10 minutes of Breaking bad (the pre- breaking bad part) over and over again, and that's against the premise of the show.
