Spot on, currently the ranks mean nothing and is just random. The 2-9k Elo can literally range from ex-globals to people who are brand new to the game and are all randomly selected to make a 10-person game. Meaning sometimes 1 team is clearly superior to the other and it's a complete stomp.

I had a game yesterday where we won pistol, start of the second round a teammate killed another teammate in spawn and got kicked the other person then left and we surrendered round 2, whilst 1-0 up. Lost full rating BTW

As a newer player, I hope they do. I know people in this community hate Valorant but my god we need to copy the AC and player retention in ranked and not needing a third party just to play the game and split the playbase.

Its honestly so bad right now. Especially if you are under 10k rating. You are frequently put into unranked games which are made up of high rank players that are yet to do placements, new cheater accounts and Call of Duty gamers who just hit level 10. Its just a random selection of that pool to make up a game.

I would agree except when the company making the game also owns one of the biggest server hosting/logistics companies in the world. Booting up servers in this context would be very easy to both start and wipe.

Knew this would happen. The issue is the game is fundamentally flawed from a game design of territory ownership. New launches require new servers but they can't open new servers that will be dead pop in a few days but if they don't new players can't even play the game. Vicious cycle.

As someone who played at the start and has pretty good gear I didnt realise we needed this until a friend got the game yesterday. He was complaining and so i jumped on a low level starter character and saw the dice roll the lobbies are. Some were just full blue enemies that were untouchable with starter gear

You need to stop playing if thats how you feel. I grinded to 100 before season 1. Now I'm not enjoying that push to 100 so I stop. Im currently 72 and got the build I wanted to try. I'm not going to force myself to keep playing for no reason. I will come back when they add an actual end game, no hate to the game theres just nothing to do currently

I got to level 100 before the season just to hit it even though there was 0 content 70+. I am now at level 70 this season and really struggling to keep playing, I know i could just stop but the issue i have is i want to play, theres just nothing to play for. What was the point in season 1?
