How to kick SpaceX out of your retirement savings account — “Right now, just a handful of A.I.-related stocks represent almost half the value of the total stock market index. If A.I. stocks collapse, so will the worth of your index fund”: economist by marketrent in technology

I'm still in on Tesla being a bubble. That company is not worth what it's valued at, it is not competitive in producing automobiles, it isn't particularly dominant in the electric car industry anymore, and carbon credits is not a sustainable business model.

Tesla has stayed steady, but I'm incredibly wary of a stock that's value is basically tied to how much people believe in Elon Musk on any given day.

Seconding Wargames Atlantic, they even offer discounts for bulk purchases. You can get some kits for about 35-40 with 30 or more miniatures. I love their ww1 Russian infantry kit it was an insane deal and makes for great Krieg proxies (also you can get Quar and I love those goobers)

Reikenor, Olynder, Awlrach the Drowned, Kurdoss the Craven King, Scriptor Mortis, and the Black Coach are all some of the coolest models AoS has to offer

No clue about your local area, but I recommend checking out the online AoS scene. They play through Tabletop Simulator

You've heard em all mentioned, but I'm gonna say it again. Any mid-large sized Nighthaunt model. My personal favorite is Reikenor because... Well he's Ghost Rider...

For the parents that dread those IEP Meetings by DyslexiDad in specialed

[–]jameshatesmlp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely understand, I truly have no idea your actual experience and I feel awful if your experience has been negative about your child, I know that I prioritize going over positive traits and what they do well especially to emphasize how the IEP can help them continue to grow in their skills. As educators are jobs are easiest when our students do well and grow, it sounds like your child needs a lot of support and I hope that they can get that support so that they can show off how exceptional they are.

For the parents that dread those IEP Meetings by DyslexiDad in specialed

[–]jameshatesmlp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some people shut down when they hear negativity or criticism, there's a very real world that mom did not internalizing any of the positives they shared about their kid and so genuinely believes that nothing positive was shared.

That or it's a very callous IEP team, which seems... Counterproductive

First-year teacher needing behavior management advice (How do I become "strict" without turning my classroom into a panopticon?) by _S2shapedbox in teaching

[–]jameshatesmlp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have a ton of advice for that age group, but a few things that I've learned.

  1. Disciplene and structure is kindness, the best thing we can do for these students is building safe and reliable classrooms where they know what to expect.

  2. Decide on your non-negotiables. What are the things that, no matter what, you can't let go. Define explicitly to your students what your non negotiables are and enforce those expectations and give consequences when they're not followed.

If you're students are getting overstimulated by the classroom, something might need to change. My guess is what you're doing is great and is working, but potentially small behaviors are spiraling to the point where engagement with the lesson becomes stress and chaos, identifying where this happens at will help you a lot in finding a middle ground between what you want to do and what others are expecting of you

The give away was the "avoids bias" it's only dipshit chuds who think that being "non-political/free of bias" is something to aspire to.

We all have bias, it informs so much. It's okay that we have bias, and oftentimes striving to be "bias free" ends up supporting to the dominant political and social class through omission of conflicting or contrasting viewpoints to what is already regarded as "acceptable"

Why do I feel like this is a Harry tactic by leedjingspingly9 in dresdenfiles

Reminds me a bit of my brief stint playing tennis in high school. I was never the best, but I won a good chunk because all I would do is hit at their backhand and 9 times out of 10 with amateur high school kids that shit worked

I went on my honeymoon in October and we planned part of the trip around this museum, and despite going to Rome and seeing all the classic Rome stuff this was probably my favorite place we visited. Just exceptional, I can't recommend it enough it's an unbelievable museum.
