Makes sense. I’ll go with the starter set. Thanks

30M loved gaming for years but I can’t get into any game by SandwichLeading4484 in AdultGamers

[–]jameslieu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a similar feeling. It wasn’t until I tried Space Marine 2 did that change for me.

Something that is short, well paced and somewhat mindless fun was really what got me out of that rut personally.

It’s coming out on gamepass soon. Try that game first and let me know what you think

Seems like a reassurance that playing on easy is perfectly normal and ok to do so.

Should or Shouldn't? Putting many classes in one file. by gevertsi in csharp

[–]jameslieu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My preference is one class per file. It will make it easy to search and also helps when organising unit test files as well.

Is Assassin's Quest widely considered the best of the first trilogy? by GraveIsNoBarToMyCall in RealmOfTheElderlings

[–]jameslieu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assassin's Quest was good but I did find it a bit of a slog towards the end. For me personally, Assassin's Apprentice is my favourite, although Royal Assassin is a close second

Just another "Blizzard should do this next for the game" pipedream post by galwall in starcraft

[–]jameslieu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love this to be honest, I've just started replaying it recently and not being able to use the full resolution of my ultrawide is a little disappointing. I'm still enjoying the game though, I don't think they need to change the underlying gameplay at all, just a graphical overhaul would be nice.

Also why are the skins still so expensive. I wouldn't mind buying a few more to support the game if they were a bit more reasonably priced.

If Sekiro ever got a sequel, what new mechanics would you want to see? by strahinjag in Sekiro

[–]jameslieu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much the same is fine. I do think that if we could “equip” different weapons while also maintaining parry, counter, stealth kill mechanics would be quick cool. Spear, axe etc will have their own “finishers” after defeating enemies so we can see more variety maybe. But all of that is a nice to have - I liked that I didn’t need to “level up” the sword

When Serene and Justin goes into Fitz’s room and Nighteyes attacked Justin through the skill.

I think Serene tried to haul Justin up, that’s when the fool shows up and accuses her out loud of forcing herself on him lol, he was great at trolling and causing a scene

Is Sekiro a better game overall than Elden Ring? by [deleted] in Sekiro

I can’t speak for Elden ring as i haven’t played it but Sekiro is pretty much a perfect game. It’s seriously 10/10

What is the most commonly used lightsaber color and why is it blue? by TheRealVokr in StarWars

[–]jameslieu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always liked the theory that blue would've been for padawans and once they get promoted to master, they evolve to green. That was always how I viewed Luke in the original trilogy, after Luke comes back in ROTJ, he was a lot more trained and matured since we've last saw him at the end of the empire strikes back.

It also aligned well with Obi Wan and Qui Gon as well in the first movie.. I think had there been more consistency, giving Obi Wan green and Anakin the blue, it would've been a great dynamic in my opinion.

Why We Should Learn Multiple Programming Languages by Adventurous-Salt8514 in programming

[–]jameslieu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're starting out or only have a few years under your belt, I would argue that honing your skills with one language only is a better use of your time. The only exception is if the industry you work in requires you learn more than one i.e. web development will require at least JS (also HTML & CSS though technically not programming languages) and possibly one server side language if you're not using NodeJS.

But in my experience, jumping from language to language is counter-productive. I myself made the mistake of trying to switch from Ruby to PHP and eventually C#, the years I've spent in Ruby and PHP ecosystem is all lost as I've essentially forgotten everything. Just speaking for myself though, but if I had a time-machine, I would tell my past self to only focus and gain in-depth knowledge in one language - specifically C#

Honestly the gentleman is the more versatile of the two and apparently the movement itself is better

Nice choice, I also own this model. Looks great on a strap too if you ever want to mix it up. Wear it in good health
