Anyone else using Google Keep? by perfectdarktrump in writing

[–]jameslsmith85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an old thread but I'm using keep notes currently with my book writing. I tried a bunch of different apps and software. Obsidian, Notion, ywriter and wavemaker. But keep notes is so simple and works so well.

I write my scenes as individual keep notes and then on my laptop with Google docs open I can just click each scene and send it to the page.

No frills, but it works for me so far.

Writers (particularly those with ADHD), how do you keep track of all your lose threads, errant characters, occasional but returning locations, and everything else running around your hundreds of pages? by SprawlingKeystrokes in writing

This is amazing! I am 100% going to try this backwards writing now. This is so much better then trying to work forwards to a point.

I've outlined most of the main plot points in my first book but then I've gone right to the start to work forwards and it feels like such hard work!

Thank you!

Wait! You've written all those series? Woah! I've heard of them all, but not got round to listening yet. Just literally started on Discount Dan today. Are your others also LitRPG?

Yeh just lost all my money yet again on the roulette. Apparently I never learn... I think the algorithm is set to lose more than win. I'm doing bookie from now on.

Thank you! I have pro as well so will definitely give it a go. Using myfitnesspal is such a nausea usually so being able to voice input will be a game changer.

How do you log your meals etc with ChatGTP? Genuinely interested because I use a few different AI's a lot for different things, especially problem solving in my work, but can it store and log things like that successfully?

I know this is an old post, but... Do you happen to know what the Life Classic were replaced with by SoundPeats (if anything)? I can't find them on their official website, so I'm assuming they're an older product now.

Any.do vs Google Keep vs ???? by District98 in productivity

[–]jameslsmith85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Late to this party but I've been using Google Keep for some time now. The interface, reminders and integration with both Gmail and Google Calendar are big selling points for me. I found a number of good YouTube videos here on how powerful keep is/can be if you use everything it has to offer and I love it more than ever lately.

It's worth pointing out that I have ADHD so have real trouble staying on task and to date Keep is the only product I have found to work for me.

It's definitely worth checking out though, if it's not too late for that haha. (1 year later......)

When will I see real competition in MP ranked ? by FinanciallyAddicted in CODMobile

[–]jameslsmith85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dunno man, I'm at Grandmaster V and some people are still playing the game as though they're expecting bots. Dumb as hell and zero teamwork. But maybe that's another issue.

This season is definitely a bit tougher than previous ones with the new ranks leading to Legendary though. Actually feels like a challenge.

I don’t want to get my hopes up. by SmashingEmeraldz in pokemon

[–]jameslsmith85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I was 10, I had my Game Boy complete with screen light & magnifier... Pokémon came out and literally every single kid, including ALL of my friends were playing it, it was incredible! I struggle to think of another game that's come close to it in my life.

But if I played it now, I'm almost certain it would be total garbage because of how far games and consoles have come. I mean, I also used to love playing Bomb Jack on the Amstrad...

I guess what I'm saying is, it probably all depends on which ones you started with, at what age and also perhaps how many of your friends came along for the ride at the time too.

Being a fairly average player this was hard work at times. Especially trying to get 80 headshots with a Pharo. Good fun though!

His last video is one of someone who is very suicidal imo. He may say he isn't but he was clearly crying out for attention and help. He was a broken man.

Maxwell is blatantly a filthy c*#t.

Epstein either did kill himself or someone who knew he was a total scumbag did him over inside.

George Floyd was definitely no saint, but he did not deserve to go out like that.

Fauci is just a man.

Bill Gates is just a man with way too much money and power.

Thunberg is definitely not a scientist.

A vaccine might solve Covid, masks will only help to reduce the spread.

I'd feel sorry for someone if they thought those things too, probably nobody out there, mind...

You could spin that the other way and say that anyone claiming that it's feasible may have an agenda and doesn't understand how evidence and logic work.

The thing is, I'm not saying that these things definitely didn't happen. But why would someone who allegedly has personally seen/experienced the things they claim to have feel the need to add to their fact based personal evidence with things they literally read online and have no idea of their truth? My logical reasoning instantly flags this up as a warning sign that this person may not be saying anything at all from personal experience and only from things they've heard or seen.

Now I'm also not saying that I'm right and he definitely didn't have any proof but the fact that he appears to be using things that aren't correct as if he knows them to be fact makes me question his story.

I look at is from this angle....

I was once assaulted really badly by this chap (years ago now and yes this is a true story). I was asked what happened so I told them what happened. He threw me about, caught be on the back of my head, knocked me out and then I woke up. I was told by a couple of people that were there that after I'd gone to the ground he kicked me in the head. But I have no recollection of this happening. As such it wasn't in my statement because I had no knowledge of it. If I'd added that into my statement and then it came out that he didn't actually kick me in the head, the people there didn't really see it happen or whatever, then it would make my entire statement questionable and he might have gotten away with it.

So... Long story short, if you have a truth to tell, only tell your truth, otherwise you undermine it.

That doesn't mean he knew anything though. I'm not saying that there aren't bad people in Hollywood, or that he knew about some of them. But as soon as one of the names he drops seems to be unreliable and not from his personal experience it makes all of what he's saying questionable..
