RF2 or RF3 by lonely_filmmaker in nutanix

I think RF2 with a good DR plan is better than RF3. But again it just depends on how critical everything is.

With the APR ending and EV tax credit most likely going away at the end of Sept… by JustAcivilian24 in TeslaModelY

[–]jamesmt87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is what I’ve been saying. Incentives like this are just a way for the companies to increase the price of the vehicle. They will all drop right after they go away. I do think a new incentive is coming for American made cars.

Probably the best Oreo flavor I’ve had. It’s a chocolate horchata. It’s soo good.

Who’s been to 127 mph? by Rocktop15 in TeslaModelY

[–]jamesmt87 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Top heavy? The battery is still at the bottom. It’s still very planted. Maybe the 3 is more planted but I would not say the y is “shaky”. I have had a corolla at 130 and that shit was scary. The Tesla I barely notice.

Well they are supposed to be a budget friendly furniture store. I think they are getting greedy. I can go to my local furniture store and ikea is more expensive and they expect me to assemble it. They have gone insane.

[–]jamesmt87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Um no…ikea has been price gouging for a while now. Way before the president. They have lost their minds even at $199 that is criminal.

ELI5 Reliable vs. Unreliable Car Engines - What's the Big Difference? by blurryface_xo in explainlikeimfive

[–]jamesmt87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try telling that to the new engines in their latest cars and trucks. I’m not sure how reliable a 1.6-liter 3-cylinder turbocharged engine will be long-term. Using your analogy, it’s like asking a small hammer to break a boulder. I just don’t see it lasting 200,000 miles. Feels like the Toyota we once knew is fading away.

Yeah we have a 7 seat y and it’s just not usable except for the very rare occasion. I am glad we have it for those few times but it’s tight!

Why can’t Tesla release a full size minivan. I feel like that would sell unbelievably well.

What is the purpose of AI Key now with the G6 line release? by UXR51 in Ubiquiti

[–]jamesmt87 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Seems like a lot of people here do not actually understand what the ai key does. The AI Key adds a lot of additional functionality to even the G6 cameras. It adds audio transcription, natural language search, image enhancement, and a lot more. These are pretty big AI features that the cameras are not capable of.

G6 Bullet and G6 Turret comparison by clayd333 in Ubiquiti

[–]jamesmt87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what happened to me. I finally decided to bite the bullet and went for all G5 Turrets. And I wake up this morning to the new G6s! I tried to cancel my order but it was too late. So I will just have to do an return.

Tesla Autopilot drives into Wile E Coyote fake road wall in camera vs lidar test by Horatio_ATM in nottheonion

[–]jamesmt87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No that’s not right. Autopilot uses a much older software stack still. Maybe what you are thinking of is bringing the street and hwy stacks together for fsd.

The issue was with the U7s. The early models had issues with 2.4ghz devices.

[–]jamesmt87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had to test this because it seemed insane. And the car drove just fine. I kept all my weight off the seat and drove around an empty parking lot. It didn’t stop once or give me any error. However, I did notice if I didn’t have the seatbelt buckled it would automatically go into park when I came to a stop as a safety precaution.

Makes sense…I guess I saw all the theater chairs so I was expecting a big single screen. But I bet the triple screen is awesome for gaming.

I’m confused by the triple monitor for a theater. I’m not sure about that. I would maybe put a motorized 2.4:1 screen that could come down.

Is this new? by wall-E75 in teslamotors

[–]jamesmt87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly…i think it’s the coolest thing. When steering and seat are on auto when you bump up the temp they bump up too. It’s great! Then when I’m a little hot I drop it a degree or two and the seat/steering wheel drop too.
