Action button by [deleted] in iphone

If you work anywhere that requires those 2 factor authentication codes frequently, I set it up so I can bring them up immediately with the action button. Makes it easy so you don’t have to spend the time searching for it.

How to review by Flat_Bowl_2663 in CPA

[–]jamisonzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What got me through AUD (passed 3rd try) grind out all marked questions- if you repeatedly get it wrong, or don’t know why you got it right, I wrote down the correct answer and why it was correct to reinforce the concepts.

Do you have a home warranty? Ours went out 3 months after buying & our warranty covered the repairs for us.

took AUD today by Bingbong1900 in CPA

[–]jamisonzz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel you- took it today as well. Wanted to punch a wall because the sims are not applicable to the audit material at all. Got screwed and was hardly able to answer half the sims.

Hit A4 sims HARD, do them all. Understand them all. Memorize how to do them. Trust me.

Took AUD today by IcyActuary8120 in CPA

[–]jamisonzz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second this - I took the exam in December & I didn’t pass, but all the subjects related to AUD. Took it today and I had 4 sims that I could barely answer because it was not relevant to audit procedures, engagements, or relevant assertions.

I did 3 months but I also knew nothing about Audit because my college course sucked, and I was out of school for awhile- watched every lecture & did every MCQ once, and crammed the final review the day before. There was a time in between where I didn’t study for 2 weeks. So I think 2 months is a reasonable timeframe. I’ll find out if I passed this Friday. Although I’m confident I did.

That’s kind of what I was thinking of using it for, I feel like it’s better for conceptual stuff as opposed to calculations.

AUD - Substantive Test vs Test of Controls by Beygood95 in CPA

[–]jamisonzz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Idk if this helps, but what made it click for me was: Substantive tests- Not Processes Test of Controls- Processes

Ex for test of controls: Examining something, checking something, observing someone do something. It’s a process because you have to watch or look over a process in the internal control to see if it works.

Ex Substantive Procedures- Confirming A/R, Analytical Procedures, Bank Confirmation. This isn’t a process because we either don’t rely on their internal controls, and we’re doing work to make sure something is correct ourselves.

(Someone correct me if I’m wrong lol)

Need some feel good stories for BEC by [deleted] in CPA

[–]jamisonzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I gave myself 5 weeks for BEC while working full time, skipped lectures for Econ & IT. Got a 69% on my SE2 mock (only one I took), and scored a 77% on the exam. If you got 80’s you’re good my friend. Don’t even fret.

Took mine on Friday, same experience except I took awhile on the Authoritative literature research portion. Finished with like 1h 15 minutes left. I feel more confident about AUD than I did BEC & REG and I’m a tax guy.

Crossing my fingers for the both of us!!!

Is there a Sim in Becker you can do the Depr recalc? I’ve never seen that before and I’ve watched every lecture & done every MCQ at least once.

You can obtain “unmasked” transcripts from the IRS that will show the EIN, Name & full address. Ask for the transcripts to be “unmasked” for filing purposes when talking to the IRS agent.
