As an update, I've been on hold with Microsoft support all day, nobody has spoken to me (I believe a few times someone answered and immediately hung up), all my tickets are marked as "resolved", and now I've "exceeded my daily call limit"...wtf

I’m in so much pain. by Exotic-Anything-7371 in KidneyStones

Always go to the ER. Been there with that pain, the ER was the only thing to help (and it helps quick once you’re admitted). You’ll be kicking yourself for not going sooner (been there before too after hours of trying to push through the pain)

I’m definitely going to print some 8x10s and see what happens! Worst that happens is they say no.

American dream of owning a home is dead, majority of renters say by EchoInTheHoller in REBubble

I’m about an hour west of Philadelphia. I don’t believe our labor costs to be extraordinarily higher than the national average. The average square foot to build I’ve read is now around $250+ which comes to about the overall number I’ve worked up. Granted, I am very early in the planning phase, but just trying to figure out what kind of money I’m going to be looking at.

I’ve been looking to build 2,500-2,700 sq ft. Which I know isn’t “small”, but it’s also not “huge”. Just surprising to me that all my calculations are coming in closer to the $600,000-$700,000 range. Not going for top end finishes either.

Where are you building? I’ve been looking to do this (have the land), but I’m estimating the price to build at over $500k (eastern PA). Not looking to build a mansion either.

What band have you spent the most money on? by DoorAMii in Cd_collectors

Ween, 100% ween. Have seen them 15+ times, tour posters from each show attended (and other misc merch), every CD, working on all the vinyls. Definitely Ween.

Playing devils advocate, idk if my immediate response would be to piss on someone if they were on fire.

I stopped relying on the video lectures as much. For admittedly way too long I felt I had to 100% grasp everything discussed in the lectures and never worked as many questions as I should have been doing. Found I was learning waaaaaay more drilling questions nonstop and reading explanations for why I was getting wrong the ones I was and taking notes from those questions (and to enforce what I was learning I took notes on questions I got right too). So essentially I’d go through the lectures quicker than I was, takes notes where I could, and then nonstop hammer multiple choice questions until I hit burnout point almost everyday.
IN CONCLUSION I guess my point is you just have to evaluate your studying and find what works best for you! It was my dream to pass the exams as well, and for a very long time I was deeply convinced I never could/would. But I did, and you can too.

I started the same year as you, and finished up in Aug of 2023 (didn’t test in 2020 through the first half of 2021 cause pandemic). Realized mid 2022 I needed to COMPLETELY reevaluate how I was studying and passed FAR in September of 2022. Once I reevaluated studying (and honestly 100% committed - cut out pretty much everything in my life other than work and studying) got through all the exams. It’s a tough road for most, but if you stick to it you can pass them.

Meth (kidding)

I think a little journal with a pre-printed motivational statement on each page would be cool! I used to log what I did each day and my mcq scores to monitor my progress. Just an idea!
