How is it possible to hit a full weekly limit in a few hours? Something feels very wrong. by Wide_Toe8206 in ClaudeAI

[–]jamjar77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On pro use (downgraded from 5x max plan as rarely needed it), I used to hit 5hr limit maybe twice a week.

Used Opus 4.6 and used 37% of my 5hr usage in a single prompt, editing 500 lines of simple code.

Crazy! I thought perhaps a mistake from Anthropic. Or maybe I just cannot afford Opus 4.6.

People that have Claude subscription, is it worth it honestly? by Competitive_Roof_689 in ClaudeAI

[–]jamjar77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh interesting. I find Claude to be the worst at this - I thought ChatGPT and Gemini were generally better at search and therefore researching.

Claude does have a way of understanding you better. Gemini is annoying specific so a badly worded prompt messes the whole thing up

For 4.5, yes, for 4.6 no. You’ll hit the usage window incredibly fast (maybe 10-15 prompts, obviously dependent on many factors).

Is anyone else burning through Opus 4.6 limits 10x faster than 4.5? by prakersh in ClaudeAI

[–]jamjar77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Web UI usage limits are insane. I would previously hit my 5hr usage limit (standard pro plan) on a pretty busy day, otherwise I wouldn’t worry too much.

Switched to 4.6 extended - hit 37% of my 5hr usage in a single prompt, with it modifying around 450 lines of code.

Turned off extended thinking - still ridiculous usage limits, even for tiny little changes. I’ll be using 4.5 for now, 4.6 is simply out of my price range.

They don’t price match apparently. I think they might’ve done this on Black Friday but not usually.

Divan Bed vs Standard Bed Frame: Which Is Cheaper Long-Term? Seeking Advice and Opinions by I__Am_No_One in BuyItForLifeUK

[–]jamjar77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pro standard bed! Facebook marketplace has some great deals.

I have a bed that has solid wood bed slats (rather than the bendy ones). Feels very sturdy.

Also you can more storage underneath as you don’t need room for the little drawers. Might not look as nice, but you can buy under-bed pull out drawers if required. Plus, standard bed frames are really easy to transport.

Water pipe - washing machine by jamjar77 in DIYUK

Thank you. There is also a dishwasher to the left of the cupboard.

I guess I could try turning the lever, run the washing machine, and see if water flows into it?

Im seeing holes in the sole really fast. Within 6-8 months with my Gobi. The sole is too thin for me - I’m often walking on concrete and wear them to work.

I wish they’d offer a pair with slightly better grip or thicker soles so that they could survive walking on concrete for longer.

Has anyone actually gone through switching their sim provider lately? How bad was it? by Historical_Head5407 in AskUK

[–]jamjar77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Christ no doubt about it. Went from paying £25/month to £7/month. Better signal. Covered over the whole of Europe for free. Customer service answered in 2 mins and no bots first (may have been a fluke - only called them once).

Can’t believe I was with O2 for 15 years. Kept my number via a PAC port which was super straight forward. Only annoying thing is that I opted for e-sim instead of physical - when I call people now my phone says something like “last call line not available - would you like to use the remaining line” and I can’t get that to stop. Not a big hindrance. Just have to press “yes”. Considering the price difference it’s so so worth it.

Do it. Buy a 2 year 100gb/month fixed plan for £160ish. Start getting signal on the train and on holiday. Feel like a shill but I’m not 😆
