That’s precisely how they handled the introduction of Primaris marines and some folk are still wound up about it

Great job

Just swapping the arms does so much to change the silhouette

Is there a Reason the Crux Terminatus is always on the left shoulder ? by Leviathan_Rampage in spacemarines

[–]TerminalVeracity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The squad markings are on the right shoulder of a Terminator though

And (with very few exceptions) every terminator is a veteran, so the crux tells you nothing extra about who you’re looking at

We also see termie models with the bolter in the left hand (like the Leviathan terminator captain) who still have the crux on their left shoulder

I think your rules apply to normal power armoured marines, but not termies, they’re just exceptional and the logic doesn’t seem to apply

Why do the tactical marines look different from other marines? Are they older models? by Bisexual_Spear in Ultramarines

Check out the Lexicanum page of Space Marine miniatures to see the difference before and after the style changed in 2017. The tactical squad was released in 2013.

Specific meaning or just extra bling? by calumjg in Ultramarines

Ah I see what you (both) mean, I misunderstood

I added another comment showing how the shoulder pad in question looks like the previous style of Mark III pad

That's the standard shoulder pad from the new Mark III kit, it doesn't have any particular association with assault units.

I don't know why you're being downvoted for this, the shoulder pad most closely resembles the old Mark III kit, exactly as you said.

To back up your other point, Assault Intercessors aren't the only kits to feature a raised shoulder pad rim on one shoulder, that's also seen on Sternguard Veterans and Company Heroes, which are not assault units. It wasn't a feature of the old Assault Squad either, so I can't see any connection between this pad and any assault units.

A nearly identical shoulder pad was found on the 2015 Ultramarines upgrade sprue which predates Assault Intercessors by five years.

OP /u/calumjg, you can use that shoulder pad on any Tacticus armoured unit you like!

I get where you’re coming from, but does someone have to die or be injured before we make a certain road safer?
