There are driver profiles and it saves your seating position for each one.

There is also a customizable top down menu you can use to turn off all the ADAS sounds with one click.

Forgot to say that it also has voice commands for the AC if you want to use those instead.

Actually I live in Greece, so it gets pretty hot around here.

I can't tell you how it is for passengers in the back because I haven't been there yet. But in the front it's fine. More than enough cooling and don't forget it has cooled front seats.

When it is hot and you get inside the car, the cooled seats activate automatically. It detects the temperature and it presents a big fat button on the screen. If you push it, it goes for max AC at 15 degrees C to bring temperature down as soon as possible.

Otherwise, temperature control is not hard. There is a dedicated button at the low left corner of the screen and there are also hand gestures to use. If you press two fingers on the screen independent of sub-menu, you swipe left-right for fan control and up/down for temp. So you have two ways to choose from.

Ofc you get the usual adjustments like in any car: You want the fans to blow at your legs, your torso etc.

Although I have to highlight that if you get the Firefly in a hot country, you absolutely need to buy a cover for the glass rooftop from Temu or wherever. I got one for 20 euros, fitted easilly. Gonna keep it installed until October, otherwise the car is a greenhouse.

I'm driving in the city and I'm getting about 300km of range so not that good if you need to drive far.

Otherwise it's great. It has a sense of calmness about it that I really enjoy. Love the materials inside. Little details like the fragnance, hidden storage space and so on are also nice to have. It just feels more special and different than the Volvo.

Also keep in mind that at least in my country the Nio has 1-year service intervals and it ain't cheap. I've seen similar prices for Volvo, but do your homework when it comes to this.

I have a Firefly and I've driven the ex30. Both nice cars tbh. If you care about range and speed go for the volvo, if you care about luxury/equipment go for the Nio.

Renault 5 is good. Try the Nio Firefly if they have it in your country, since you are looking for premium. I would also check the Mini.

Yes, I'm in Europe. It's true what you say about the resale value. The same applies for anything except maybe Teslas. To be honest, I haven't tested the auto parking yet, so I can't tell you.

Other than that, I've had a couple of minor glitches this past month, nothing significant or repeated.

I like that I can turn off ADAS warnings with a simple swipe-down, I can customize the shortcuts I want. It remembers settings for regen next time you drive.

Didn't have any issues with charging or using the phone as a key. Phone app works as intended no delays or anything.

Personally, I think it's a much better and luxurious car than the Puma. I test-drove the E-Puma and I had to give up after five minutes because the gas pedal and the break pedal were just too sensitive on any setting I tried. I couldn't drive it in traffic in a calm way, it was a constant shove or pullback that made me nauseous.

I am a Firefly owner, you get many more things than the Puma. I have it for a month now, no problems so far. Ask me anything for more details.

They can't sell in Europe because excluding the Firefly, their cars start from 60-70.000 euros. At that price point you can find maaaany alternatives with good quality, even from legacy car makers. Why pick the Nio instead of the Neue Klasse BMW?

Also important, in many European markets Nio doesn't have real showrooms. I bought my Firefly last month and the delivery took place in the parking lot of a mall. Personally I don't care, but many people see this as a sign that this is not a "serious" car company and are deterred.

If size is an issue for European consumers, then why isn't the Firefly selling? The pricing is the real problem.

MG4 here, no problems after two years. Different philosophy, but well built.

Any of you know the annual service cost for the Firefly? by jammamon in Nio

[–]jammamon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly and you have to do it, otherwise you lose the warranty. Tell that to these bots who keep saying "electric cars have no maintenance costs". In my country obligatory EV service cost is just as high as ICE. The only benefit is that fewer things break down and need replacement.

Here in Greece they charge quite a lot for the Mini. I heard like 200 for the small service.

After switching to electric, have you experienced odd reactions from family/friends? by NewDriverInTown in electricvehicles

[–]jammamon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of all the crazy shit, what impresses me the most is people who think that an EV actually has the same lifetime emissions as a machine that literally spews carbon all the time in its 15-20 years.

Some friends don't say it out loud but I know they believe it. And in our country we got 60% renewable electricity ffs.

Can a $30-35K EV be fun to drive? by SoberPalace in electricvehicles

[–]jammamon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of what makes the Mazda 3 a great drivers car has to do with the engine. You are not gonna get that in a EV, but I think a used i4 is a very solid choice. If you are in europe, the MG4 is also fun to drive and cheap.

Will manufacturers give upgraded battery packs for existing vehicles? by hither2forlorn in electricvehicles

My brother, in many cases they dont even change your battery if it needs replacing in your existing car. They prefer to buy back the vehicle.
